It’s called DOUGH, RE. MI. Fred, unfortunately, is going to have to fold

I read on Monday that Fred actually has more cash on hand than Huckabee, and he's still raising money.

FNC reported a few minutes ago that Fred has pulled out of the debate this week.

Did they get that from Fred's campaign, or is that someone's supposition? And if he's not in the FL debate, does it really matter? He wasn't in all the debates before now. If the media didn't mention it, not that many people would notice, since most folks don't watch them anyway.

I would have voted for Thompson in a heartbeat. But its over. South Carolina was supposed to be his bread basket.

If your state hasn't had it's primary, yet, you can still vote for Fred, if you truly intended to do so. I'm planning to vote for him on Super Duper Tuesday here in MA.

Can Fred seriously win the nomination at the convention with 8 delegates?

Carl Cameron said tonight that Fred’s staff has been on half pay since 1/1/08

I wonder why they kept that little secret so quiet.

I hear that the rumors of his withdrawing from the debate are not true. He is still in it. This is being reported on some conservative blogs. If so, I am encouraged. I don’t expect him to win FL. But I want him in at least until Feb. 5.

When you go to www.fred08.com, there is no red pickup truck anymore for fundraising. That worried me.

Also, I pretended to want to phone for Fred (which I have done in the past). I don’t actually right now, because it’s midnight. It still gave me the option of calling folks in South Carolina. That bothered me, too.

Fred and Giuliani each have 7.1 - 7.2 million cash on hand. All I'm reading is Giuliani is scare on resources so where does that leave Fred?

It's over. I'm not happy about an impending Fred withdrawal but it will be official soon.

KRLA radio (Bill Bennett affiliate) just reported (7:30 AM EST) Fred will announce withdrawal, possibly as early as today.

“It’s called DOUGH, RE. MI. Fred, unfortunately, is going to have to fold. We can only hope Fred is on everyone’s list for Veep.”

Why do you think Fred is going to have to fold? He is not out of money as every goal he sets is met and then some. If he needed more funds, all he has to do is ask. Polls? They are what they are which is not often right and they change in a heartbeat. VP? Fred said early on he is NOT interested in the VP position. More recently he said when asked again about being VP: If I accepted that I would not be running and my honesty would be questioned. In other words he said is is running for President and that is it! Fred is NOT out until he SAYS he is out and I am still with Fred!

I agree. This Huckabee is not a man of God. I thank God that Huckabee will never be President. I would take McCain over Huckabee any day. I at least know that Mccain will be selfserving but at least the evangelicals will fight against his policies. If Huck were President he would have Dem support for his liberal programs and 1/3 of the Republican support because the evangelicals would support Huck no matter what.

A lesson for those who think they can waltz into a contest months after it started and be coronated.

Mike is a phony. They’re so much alike - McPain and Huckabee that it is a sickening choice.

What’s really sad is the state of the evangelicals - they don’t have a clue on what Christianity IS. They are confusing Christianity with HUMANISM, financed by socialism.

As a Bible based Christian, who KNOWS what the Bible says about Christianity - what it is and what it isn’t, I am personally repulsed by Mike Huckabee. Mikes’a sheep in wolves clothing exploiting the ignorant.

I do too! That is something to rejoice about. Mike is pulling the wool over the eyes of the ignorant. Mike has NO national appeal. Plus he’s incompetent for the job. What Mike needs to do is sign up with Rick Warren and trot around wiht Obama giving out birth control pills. Better yet, join Rick Warren when he goes to Iran and come back telling us that Iran is really our friend. Remember when Rick went to North Korea? I think it was North Korea and stated that they are really our FRIENDS. Then the Huckster could salm Bush more about his “arrogant Bunker mentality”.

Someday, Mike will have to stand before God and explain why he took this route:

Matt.16:26

[26] For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Mark.8:36

[36] For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Mike sold his soul along time ago and it wasn’t to God.

We are to believe an announcement on one radio station? Lets wait until Fred speaks today about his plans. :)

I really HATE, this guy redefining Christianity to something it is NOT to “conform to this world.”

Yes, I DO know my Bible and the difference.

Rom.12:2

[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

He’s conforming to the world to better himself.

I didn’t hear any announcement on either a radio or a TV station. I’m just looking at his absence in campaigning - you can’t win by not campaigning.

However it goes, Fred is in my prayers and so is his ailing mother.
