Why ARE we honoring MLK when we now know he was a plagiarist and was repeatedly unfaithful to his wife? Is MLK the first affirmative action figure in US history?

Martin Luther King was a serial adulterer, a plagiarist, and an associate of Communists. Of course, he also demonstated great personal courage. But is astonishing that we are no longer permitted to talk about his undoubted flaws.
I’m no Ron Paul fan whatsoever but I’m not much on Martin Luther King either.
Sure he looks better than Stokley Carmichael or Huey Newton but still his flowery rhetoric aside, he was a real socialist and serious lefty.
It galls me that he gets a national holiday over so many more deserving people just for one reason.

What he said isn’t shocking. Well, wait. Problem is Paul is denying he made lots of statements printed over some 12 years, and is now making nice-nice about MLK.
Not sure what all that is about.
But if he really said those things and stood by them, I wouldn’t blame him.

MLK may not have been the worst in the world, but I doubt he’s the saint we must hail every year this *Monday* (as usual, never the real date, so everyone can have a long weekend). Hailed with multudinous parades, TV spots, TV news blurbs, newspaper editorials and articles, city-area awards for kiddies who pander to this stuff with words about MLK and “courage”, etc.
Meanwhile, the white guys get nothing. Well, close to it (Lincoln gets more than anything, being he is PC again because of the black thing). Mostly what they get is CAR SALES!!!! Woohoo!
