There are lots of ways to describe the dichotomy on the left - and it IS a dichotomy, with every leftist falling into or identifying with one of the two extremes.
Shepherd & Sheep (Elite, “know better” types vs the “take care of me” types)
Satanic & Stupid (The Stupid don’t know, or are willfully ignorant, that socialist systems don’t work. The Satanic know that the systems don’t work and result in misery, but know that they gain power through promoting them.)
