If I have to take my merry band of pirates, steal a boat and search every Caribbean Island and exclusive resort spot on planet earth, That’s what I’ll be doing! The planet will be too small a hiding place.
Those private islands with megayacht (nothing under 100’) marinas and private jet runways are guarded by private security companies like Blackwater, with the latest gear such as FLIR surveillance etc. Make sure you pack a lunch.
Plus, if anything nasty threatened one private island, they would merely fly the coop to another of their dozen ranches, mansions etc around the world.
