Illegals do the work that Americans refuse to do.

Absolutely true.

But which Americans?

Ask yourself that question every time you mow your own lawn, clean your own toilet and drive your own kids to school. It’s not that low and middle income Americans refuse to do low-wage jobs, it’s that the upper middle and high income Americans (can anyone say Chappaqua?) talk about social justice while still engaging businesses that hire illegals and individuals they know to be here illegally. I refuse to take lectures on racial harmony and social justice from liberal hypocrites who live in segregated communities, send their kids to segregated schools and outsource the rearing of their own children.

These nitwits are incapable of starting a lawnmower or driving a nail into a wall yet they presume to tell us how we should live our lives.

Does anyone want to ask Hillary why she lives in Chappaqua?

Is it because she wants to be nearer to the poor or because for decades it’s been known as the bedroom community of choice for every low-life, dirtbag lawyer in New York?

Beg to differ, but it's simple economics.

Use any one of the many inflation calculators out there on the Internet, and compare unskilled and semi-skilled pay from the 60's and 70's to that of today.

You'll quickly see that illegals are working for 40 to 60 percent less than the American work force of the 60's and 70's.

It's simple business math: employers are hiring from the cheapest labor pool (illegal peasant laborers), and Americans have no interest in competing for peasant wages.

If unskilled and semi-skilled labor rates tracked with the CPI for the last 30 years (as do other salaries), wages would be in the $25/hour range and Americans WOULD compete for those jobs.

(There's a whole argument to be made about natural barriers to entry, the protection of wage rates, and the purpose of unions in skilled and semi-skilled labor markets).

For the record, our housekeeper, who was born in Mexico, is a naturalized U.S. citizen. We checked.
