Little Rock, AR-
One day after a devastating loss to Senator John McCain in the South Carolina primary, Mike Huckabee visited Huck supporter Chuck Norris Lone Wolf Ranch near College Station TX for a fundraiser that included him playing with his old band. During a press avail prior to the event, Huckabee took a moment to speak to reporters on the tough defeat the night before.

It will cost $1mm a day in FL. Fox was saying Fred will pass on FL even if he stays in. It’s winner-take-all. They have about 40% of the vote already submitted via absentee ballot. Fred is in a distant 4th place.
If he stays in, he would probably compete against Huck in the Southern states.

In a nutshell, if you know, just how does a “brokered” convention work and what is the criteria for who is considered?
Thanks

You are absolutely bonkers if you think Mitt and Huck will ever be on the same ticket.

Buy a clue — less is more.
Everytime you post that, people just skip right over it.

There was a previous post. In nutshell, it is usually one of the top two delegate winners that win anyway. Theoretically, after several votes at the convention, if no one gets a majority, they can bring in anyone and have a vote and the one with a majority of delegats win. It won’t happen.

You said his politics are liberal.
I show you they are not.
You call him a liar.
And that ends any reasonable discourse.

I'd rather back the right horse and be wrong, then back the wrong horse and be wrong.
But you keep dreaming of that fabulous ticket, k? Even Mitt isn't that stupid.

What you are calling his “politics” are simply claims he has made recently that completely contradict his record.
When he calls himself a conservative, he is lying.
When he claims he didn’t know there was a cross in his ad, he is lying.
When he tells voters across the state of South Carolina that Fred is going to drop out of the race because he “can’t win,” Huckabee is lying.
When Huckabee lies, I will call him a liar.

To: TornadoAlley3
...he says since Thompson did not win Iowa or SC he will have to get out or explain why he is not getting out since he said he needed to win. In order to match the intellectual level of his response with that of this challenge, Fred should simply say: "That's for me to know and you to find out".

You can not even attempt to cram "pro-border fence" down an true FReeper's throat. It is just a plain bald face lie. Huckabee isn't alone there as he has the rest of the field to keep him company. Even Jorge signed off on the fence but he didn't really ever intend to see it built.

I know he is pro boarder fence though.
No sense in letting those young immigrants sneak back home after he gives them a free education...

Fred is everybody's second choice. Huck is nobody's second choice. Anyone who buys into global warming and amnesty for illegal aliens should be running in the Democrat Primary. That means Huck and McCain need to go.

Ahh yes, pro-life, pro-gun, pro-tax reform, pro-traditional marriage, pro-border fence, and on and on, are "liberal."Of course, his record prior to the past 3 months is not at all what you proposed he believes. So asking us to now believe someone who is a demonstrable liar on his rather un-conservative record is simply silly. But that's par for Huckabites.
