Little Rock, AR-

One day after a devastating loss to Senator John McCain in the South Carolina primary, Mike Huckabee visited Huck supporter Chuck Norris’ Lone Wolf Ranch near College Station TX for a fundraiser that included him playing with his old band. During a press avail prior to the event, Huckabee took a moment to speak to reporters on the tough defeat the night before.

Yes, he took Drudge’s spot on KFI 640AM 7pm pacific. I don’t know much more about his current show than that.

And when they were talking about SC they mentioned that Fred would stay in at least for FL sourcing that to Human Events.

***John Bachelor is back on the air? Hard to tell from his website but is that broadcast on WMAL and XM Radio?***

The US is the GREAT Satan according to residents of Dirka-Dirkastan, so I really can’t change it. I shall be honored to remain the lesser_satan, and allow my country the honor of being berated as the GREAT Satan by the filthy, illiterate third world islamist scum.

Less is more? Tell that to Huck...we cannot help that his list of wrongs are so long.

“the abysmal truth of Huckabee’s record.”

Maybe fideist, it would be time worth spending to read it, instead of skipping it. Huck wouldnt seem to be such a great guy.
Oh that thing that is too long to read? Theres more.

Fred should just send a case of broccoli to Huck.

That would be too funny!

That liberal is probably one of the global warming nature cult dopes who’s been against nuclear power, oil exploration and oil refineries, and is too stupid to realize he’s as responsible as anyone for his economic woes.

Chuck Norris always stands BEHIND the Huck. He doesn’t want to get caught in the middle when Fred comes after him.

You haven’t shown jack to anyone. The Huckster IS a liar and a fraud.

Just because YOU’VE been taken in doen’t mean you get to spew his crap to the rest of us. We are apparently more discerning than you are.

Remember the crack a couple of days ago from that “class act” Mike Huckabee about Fred Thompson appearing to be in need of Metamucil?

This guy’s a real riot, no? Yet now it seems the former Governor, the rodent-eater, could use a lifetime supply of Imodium.

His problem is diarrhea of the mouth, which, some of his old friends tell us, “is just Mike.” All of which makes him well-suited to become the chief architect of American foreign policy, and for starting the kind of Championship Riot with his laugh act that breaks out in tense Third World cities, leaving piles of corpses, when American Presidents “crack wise.”

Whether they like us or not, people around the world pay close attention and both buy and sell based on what the American President says and does not say.

It seems clear, as Governor Huckabee prattles on and on, it may be past time for someone, somewhere to tell the best Democrat on the Republican team to put a sock in it.

As he smashes Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment and shames Southern Baptists with his interpretation of the first Ten, it’s becomes more and more obvious Mike Huckabee is intent on violating yet another Cardinal Rule of Politics.

A campaign blind to its flaws is doomed.

Generally speaking, a candidate can be ugly as sin and make great progress, perhaps even win, if the candidate is aware of this and can make light of it. A candidate can have a dangerous ego and, in what seems a contradiction in terms, and only if they are aware of and can make light of this, they can survive and overcome. The opposite, unfortunately for Governor Huckabee, is certainly not true.

In the wee hours after the South Carolina Primary votes were counted, not one, but two former Governors, Mike Huckabee and his supporter South Carolina’s own charming Kevin Beasley were spouting off to anyone who would listen that Fred Thompson had stolen their victory over John McCain.

That paragon of Republican interests Time magazine felt such sympathy for Huck they went online with their upcoming puff piece Huckabee and his winning, populist mangling of Ronald Reagan’s legacy.

By golly, you can bet when Time is doing its upmost to fluff your campaign you must be a real contender. It means you really must be a real threat to those disciples of Saul Alinsky chewing on each other for the Democrat nomination.

“The fact of Fred Thompson’s being in the race took away some votes that we most likely had,” the Governor said. “I believe every analyst has looked at it that way.”

Folks who’ve been Conservative in the historic, non-statist frame for any length of time and those who’ve looked at the crosstabs a little closer than Ed Rollins, apparently, can do the math.

If Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson were a single hybrid candidate, combining the virtues of both men, the results last night would have been a three-way split. Fred Willard would probably have come in Third, but the result would have been no different.

Those of us who genuinely believe Fred Thompson said it best when he called the contest for the Republican nomination “a battle for the heart and soul of the Republican Party,” would have supported the Huckster long before Senator Thompson entered the race.

It’s fair to assume Huckabee believes many of us have had a long, hard look at him and then moved toward Thompson as soon as he entered the race.

After all, Huck’s been in the contest a long time, and if he’s half the candidate he’s made himself out to be we wouldn’t have encouraged Fred Thompson to enter the race. The Governor apparently doesn’t think very confidently about himself in comparison to Senator Thompson, and maybe he’s worried those around him will find out.

Nevertheless, in the spirit of the 11th Commandment, here’s some basic Dale Carnegie for the haughty, self-impressed Beasley and the blabbermouth former Governor of Arkansas. The way to Win Friends and Influence People isn’t to grind salt into the wounds of your political rivals and their champion when they’re down. Something akin to authentic, not feigned sympathy is in order on such occasions.

But this is academic, isn’t it, and the sort of thing we learn from our parents or in kindergarten? You’re paying Ed Rollins how much? To put it simply, Preacher, “the microphone is open, Lonesome Rhodes. Put a lid on it.”

Pssst. On second though, there, Governor, and make sure you keep insulting Fred Thompson and his supporters as much as possible. Keep cracking wise, too, about the personal qualities of your opponents. It’s so endearing.

Heck, I was just joshing you with that crack about Imodium. People just love it these “stream of conscience” moments of yours. Everyone loves just loves you, Mike, just as you hoped, just as you knew they would.

Did Hucky REALLY call for a federal ban on smoking? I thought that was just a rumor. As much as I hate being around smokers, do we really have a RIGHT to tell people they cannot smoke? That it’s against the law? Isn’t that like telling people they can’t drink coke?

If he DID say he was going after a smoking ban, wouldn’t that be like asking for a “hit” out on you by the tobacco companies? Aren’t they going to be just a “LITTLE BIT” freaked out and desparate to make sure he doesn’t get elected? Wouldn’t that give us Hilly or Osama? I thought personal freedoms were fought for on OUR SIDE of the table! Was I wrong? I’m all confused.

Isn’t Hucky a Republican? So that’s ya’ll’s point about him? Hhmmm...well i was never going to vote for him anyway — I’m Fred’s girl. Hucky reminds me of a wormy, squirmy, slimy preacher who tells you one thing on Sunday from the pulpit, while going to the next town to visit his “other family” on the side that no one knows about. There’s something kinda creepy about him, don’t you think?

Is he actually BRIGHT enough to be POTUS? He doesn’t seem too smart to me. But maybe it’s just me....i’m just a homeschooling mom who doesn’t know much, I guess.

:-)

The Huckster is endorsed by the NEA, which is the only thing any homeschooling mom should need to know about his sorry liberal ass.

You can judge a person's heart?

When you die will you sit next to God, or just kick him out of His throne?

I don’t know about Huckabee’s heart. I just know he acts innocent while spewing venom.
