Seems you also misunderstood Fred's 'line in the sand' comment. It wasn't about HIM staying in the race. All he ever said about his part in the race was that it was their hope and expectation that he would do well. His comment had to do with whether or not the Republicans would draw a line in the sand to hold back liberalism in the party. Seems he was right to be concerned
