Because I think Obama is worse than the Clintons. The Clintons bend when they have to. Under Bill Clinton we got welfare reform, the defense of marriage act, etc.. He held on partial birth abortion but he did bend on other things. With Obama I think he will talk moderate and ALWAYS use his power to the full extent he can for liberalism.
Fair enough. I guess with me it is a little more personal than pragmatic. I can never forgive or forget his behavior on so many levels and her active support of it. So cynical and damaging to everyone and every institution they are involved with.
Believe it or not, those changes were brought about by Limbaugh. With Limbaugh on the air blasting away every day and majority opinion tilting his side, Clinton had little choice but acquiesce. Obama on the other hand though still a liberal, does not see himself as a remnant of the 60s, the era of excesses as he called it.
I agree. Obama voted, I have heard, for an Illinois bill that would make it easier anesthetize disabled infants. Furthermore, he is multiculturalism made flesh. He is the Clintons without the American roots.
I agree with you. As much as hillery-rotten scares the life out of me, Osama-I-mean-Obama scares me even more.
I don’t think we can assume that Hillary will govern like Bill; from all that I’ve read and heard about her, she will be to the left of Bill, occasionally to the right of Obama but also occasionally to the left. I wouldn’t want to bet on how much influence her erstwhile spouse will have once she doesn’t need him to get the presidency.
Correction,Ghost. We got Welfare Reform in SPITE of Bill Clinton, not because of him.Conservatives in Congress pressed and pressed him on that issue till he finally signed the bill after vetoing stricter measures first.
I am more on Obama’s side because although I loathe his liberal politics,I viscerally despise the Clintons.Obama at least seems to have a sense of decency.
I can’t say that about the Clintons.
