Walk For Life 2008 - San Francisco (pictures)

A few pictures from the Walk for Life 2008 in San Francisco. It takes a great deal of courage to do this in the belly of the beast by the Bay. Thousands turned out and were blessed with excellent weather.

Remember, Dear Reader, that this was in San Francisco.

Were there baby-killing counter-protestors?

This post attempts to explain how FDR's 10th A.-ignoring establishment of New Deal federal spending programs like Social Security have led to ongoing social unrest concerning state issues like abortion as evidenced by this thread. Note that the post first references two non-abortion cases to show how renegade majority justices have essentially been ignoring the 10th A. since the days of FDR's dirty politics.

Anybody who feels inclined to comment about the above referenced post, please do so in this thread.

They were around but they are not important enough for me to crowd my flash card.

Yes there were. Hippies, freaks, atheists, lesbians, feminists, etc. Vulgar, loud and ugly. There were also hundreds of policemen present preventing the pro-abortion haters from attacking the Walk for Life. It was quite a scene.

Thanks for the ping! Wonderful pictures. I like the poster that said I lost my life when I killed my child. Very heartbreaking and thought provoking.

Probably.

I was surprised to see a group for Democrats for Life of CA and Stanford U and Marin Catholic HS.

Wow, do you mean literally ‘hundreds’ of police? You’re not just using that as a figure of speech? That is almost frightening to think that heavy a police presence was necessary.

I have lived in S.F. for over twenty years and have been to dozens of demonstrations of all kinds and I have never seen a police presence of this type or magnitude. I don’t know how many there were altogether but they were a constant presence along a route that stretched for a couple of miles. I think City officials know how fascistic many leftists can be and just didn’t want the publicity that would come if some vicious, psychotic lesbian assaulted an innocent, lawabiding person for merely walking down the street. I saw many such leftists who had to be physically restrained by the police along the route.

I encountered a psycho lesbian.

I was walking around taking pictures a walked up a small grassy knoll from a better angle. I saw a nice looking dog with feathers around his neck. I paid no attention to the person on the other end of the leash and without getting too close took a picture, because that's what I do. He/she snarled and said, "Take a picture of THIS", and proceeded to grab her private parts.

I actually thought it was kind of funny because somehow she seemed to think her privates gave her superhuman powers.

But she continued, "You with your little pink ear muffs".

With that I realized she was psycho and moved away in the direction of the police and my husband.

The police know which side is prone to violence even if Heather Fong tells them otherwise.

Very cool. “Democrats for Life”? sounds like an oxymoron.

Yeah, that was a bit of a shocker, but so was the contingent from Stanford University.

The police know which side is prone to violence...

It was clear from how the officers were positioned (backs to the pro-lifers, facing the screaming leftists) that they knew who they needed to be guarding from whom.

Except for the police protection, this would have been very close to Jesus carrying his cross through the streets of ancient Jerusalem
