yet all are politicians - and responsible for the present BS
I’m with you! This race is not over and I will be voting for Fred here in Florida along with many other folks! The debate this coming Thursday will only help Fred! GO FRED!
One Thousand One Hundred Ninety-One Delegates need to win, so far the "leader" has.......
59.
Thats it, its not close to over unless we just quit.

Great point of the day!
You guys are dreaming if you think Fred is going on to FL. He put all of his eggs in the SC basket and got thumped. He will be out by Monday. The only reason he would stay around is if his old buddy McCain asks him to stay through FL to take votes away from Huckabee.
Fred said to stand strong with him.
That’s what we need to do.
Another lie being spread by the Huckasleaze campaign. Hey, Mike, why don't you try refuting Fred on the issues for a change instead of using dirty tricks and sleazy campaign tactics?
Well said Elle Bee!
With Hunter dropping out only Fred remains as the faithfully conservative candidate. If Thompson goes we’re left with the tired old choice of lesser evils.
Perhaps America really deserves the government it elects.
Most of us on this forum don’t deserve that yet suffer for it none the less.
I couldn’t agree more. As long as Thompson is in, I’m behind his candidacy. God knows that there’s no one else I can freely support.
.
Folks,
I agree that Fred Thompson is the best of the bunch ( with the exception of Duncan Hunter, who has quit the race ).
Unfortunately, the numbers aren’t with him. His 3rd place finish in SC just won’t cut it and he does not have the money or logistics to carry on.
At this point in time, I am open to supporting the next best thing among the remaining gang of 4 ( forget Ron Paul ) — Mitt Romney.
Me too. Honesty, Integrity, Principle, are eternal and do not die by the fate of any one individual. We stand with Fred because we stand with these values, abandoning them for a more "popular" candiate is out of the question.
Go Fred Go!
Even If He's Blah Tonight, Why Should Fred Drop Out? Jim Geraghty
The gang on CNN, including Bill Bennett, is talking about Thompson as if his campaign is over.
I realize I've been Mr. Don't-Get-Your-Hopes-Up-Fredheads lately, but even with a mediocre performance tonight, there's no reason for Fred Thompson to leave the race. He's apparently put more effort into Louisiana than the other candidates (they vote Tuesday), and there's a bunch of deep red states he can fight in on Super Duper Tuesday, including his home state of Tennessee.
If there were a clear frontrunner, and this thing was all over, I could see it. But if he really finds some of his other rivals as not-conservatives who are unacceptable to carry the Republican mantle, why not stay in this thing until the end, collect as many delegates as he can, and at the very least, throw them to the one he finds most acceptable at the GOP convention?
Funny....if you think Fred is the best of the bunch, why does your screen name seem so new to a Fred thread? Do you consider Guiliani one of “the remaining 4”? Why? He’s done nothing anyplace so far. Where are the calls for him to pull out? Didn’t Romney come in 4th in S.C.? Hmmmmm.
