...and he does not have the money or logistics to carry on. The last time I checked on the Federal Elections Comission website, Fred had Waaaaaay more money than Romney. The Romney campaign in fact is in serious debt. Fred is in the black and has millions in reserve.

Fred IS the Republican Party at this point & I’m not walking away as long as he’s standing.

Fred still has TN, TX, etc., to go.
It’d be silly to leave when there is a brokered convention coming, and he’s in third place, and the top “second choice” for 77% of the voters who have a preference of another candidate. Such is what a compromise nominee is made of.
Moreover, the melt-down of Huckabee is imminent, as people realize he’s a pinko — a Christian socialist in the mold of Jimmah Carter.
I will be putting my $$$ where my mouth is, having never donated money to a candidate, and going the rest of the way to $2,300 on Monday (when I can get to my bank) — NOT a rich guy, here.

I will also stand with Fred.
At this time, according to the FR poll, over 60% of the 1700+ respondents, including members and nonmembers, are either staying with Thompson or moving TO Thompson.
This man has strong, loyal conservative support. The others only have a faction to try to ride and a ceiling beyond that because of baggage and high negatives. In the end, Fred will be the last man standing if we can keep him in the race.

I hate to be redundant but if Fred treats the Huckachuckles campaign like Reagan did to the Soviets.....Mike’s supporters will be forced to step into the light of Fred’s camp.
Fred just needs to ‘outspend them’.

This speech was not as strong as the one after Iowa-- Ticket to the Next Dance. That one is posted on The Fred Thompson site homepage now. Are they trying to tell us that third (in another open primary) is a ticket to Florida and beyond?
Go see THIS ONE and compare it to last night's.
I believe after watching both speeches that he may be undecided about whether to stay on. Just pray for God's Will for Fred and Jeri. And especially pray for our country.

I will also be standing with Fred as long as he is in the race. The race is far from over! McCain won SC with help of the DEMS and Independents. Huckabee is going down soon. I believe it will be between Fred and Mitt in time because I do not think Guiliani has Florida locked up. And this stuff about 40% have already voted here in Florida doesnt say much. If true, 40% of all voters means nothing to me right now. If they said 40% of Republican voters have already voted then that would mean something. In all of the calling I have done in Florida to absentee ballot Registered Republicans, none of the folks told me they had already voted. All said they were looking at the candidates and had not decided yet. They all showed interest in Fred and some did say they liked Fred. I see the chance for Fred to make another surge after the debate from Palm Beach this coming Thursday. I am with Fred through Super Tuesday if he is still fighting!
To: Maelstorm
The race is not over, I am still going to vote for Fred. Don’t give up Fred, Stand Tall.

unny....if you think Fred is the best of the bunch, why does your screen name seem so new to a Fred thread?
May I ask you a question --- what does being new to a Fred thread have to do with prefering him ? s there a Mod rule somewhere that says this has to be so ?
I PERSONALLY prefer him because he's the real conservative of the current bunch. That doesn't mean I'm optimistic about his chances.
Do you consider Guiliani one of the remaining 4?
Yes, until we see what happens after Florida.... coming in second in that State where he's placed almost all of his resources will signal that he's probably finished. So it's way too early to call Giuliani's campaign dead yet.
Didnt Romney come in 4th in S.C.? Hmmmmm.]
'Yes, but he came in first in Wyoming, Michigan and Nevada. So, I'll consider Fred's campaign to have resurrected if I see something similar in the coming days.
To: Honeybunch
You are absolutely correct Honeybunch! Romney is behind Fred in SC....see my post #260 here for the results of all primaries/caucuses so far.

We need to have Fred make a public announcement that he is not going to drop out, and state how long he is willing to stay on ( after super Tuesday, so that will stop the rumors ) and also make a announcement that he is going to pick Duncan Hunter as his running mate, or a well know conservative like Rick Santorum.
Fred Thompson campaign ? if you can read this, please ? have Fred go on all the major networks, make it plain that he is NOT going to drop out and make it plain that he will at least stay in until super Tuesday or until his money runs out, and make a announcement that he is either going to pick Duncan Hunter as his running mate, or Rick Santorum...
To: HerrBlucher
I am still standing with Fred, and if I have to ? I am going down with the ship.
To: Route66
Is there anyway Jim Robinson can contact Fred ? JIM !!!! please ? can you try to contact Fred yourself ? tell Fred DO NOT GIVE UP !!!
Huckabee is running on fumes now, last I heard he only has $ 600,000 to go on,,,,,, Fred has about 7 million, he can out last Huck as long as he does not give up.
To: egginanest
To: Dustbunny
Yes Fred, don’t give up..... DO IT FOR RUTH !!!
