How is everyone and yourself?

I don't see the new specialist till Thursday, so no change for me.

They've decided my dad doesn't really have pneumonia, just fluid in his lungs that they can't get rid of. Same difference, in my mind. They have gotten rid of the infection in his arm and the incision for the surgery in his abdomen is doing better, but he's now so weak that he can't stand on his own. My sister who lives out there is taking on the biggest burden through this, and is sounding more and more like she's preparing us all for him not coming out of this.

Having worked as an EMT driving ambulances years ago I have a pretty good idea of the odds and I'm trying not to be either pessimistic nor optimistic, just realistic. What really bothers me, however, is that my situation is keeping me from going out there and helping.

You are in all of our prayers as you already know.

Thinking of you, I am sure your family will understand the position you are in and why you cannot be there though I this does make it any easier for you.
