WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? (DEFEAT MCCAIN)
1/20/08 | Self

Posted on 01/20/2008 5:04:20 AM PST by Nextrush

I said go for Fred in South Carolina because I wanted to give Thompson a chance to mix this race up.

But Fred fell short now and the main concern of mine is to beat McCain.

There's a media orgasm-coronation going on right now and we have to have straight heads to stop it.

Lets not infight and let trolls lead us atray.

Here's a serious look at how to defeat a man who's a virtual Democrat and a traitor to the conservative cause in this country.

McCain-Feingold made the First Amendment into toilet paper.

The law was designed to protect incumbent politicians by keeping little candidates from getting outside support to defeat entrenched politicians.

And we all have a list of what McCain has done to help Democrats and hurt Conservatives from the Gang of Fourteen on down.

Straight heads must prevail at this point.

I've heard two guys on two different networks (David Gergen on CNN, Bill Sammon of the "Washington Examiner" on Fox News) point out that Thompson is a "friend" of McCain. Sammon suggested Fred will endorse McCain.

That should settle the issue I brought up some weeks ago about Fred being a McCain front if it pans out.

Fred can't do much if he stays in right now but hold Tennessee which if he wants to run there on February 5th makes me happy enough.

McCain must be defeated by tactical voting.

I only hope Giuliani doesn't collapse from the media wave before we reach New York on February 5th. Its a winner take all primary and the only candidate who can take out McCain there is Rudy.

In New York and New Jersey on February 5th, I'm certain Rudy is the anti-McCain vote to defeat him there. You have to vote Rudy there to stamp out the McCain Mutiny.

Romney will contest Florida so vote for him there on the 29th to stop McCain.

Huckabee at least campaigned against McCain in the last few days in South Carolina.

The return the illegals pledge he signed along with on-air (MSNBC) criticism of McCain-Feingold I saw was clearly aimed at McCain.

But yes Huckabee always says nice things about McCain.

Maybe that's just his style.

If Huckabee is a shill for McCain, lets make Huck prove it by giving him wins and delegates in states where he is strongest. On February 5th, that will be Oklahoma, Alabama and or course Arkansas.

Back to Romney, he's the obvious choice in Utah, Colorado and Massachusetts on February 5th.

Romney should probably contest Missouri so you know who to vote for there.

Wouldn't it be nice if the native son of Missouri who's name inspired mine finally came out of the closet for Romney?

Is he fiddlin around while the Republican Party burns?

Emporer McCain and his media buddies are torching the place right now.

Focus your vote in the next few weeks on the strongest possible candidate in your state to defeat McCain.

Its straight heads time and I won't attack Huck, Romney or Rudy at this point because I'm not in the McCain helping business.

The grim task is to knock McCain down so hopefully a conservative alternative can rise up (that would probably be Romney). (ALL CRITICS CAN SHUT UP AT THIS POINT BECAUSE YOU ONLY HELP MCCAIN BY TRASHING ROMNEY)

But I will accept the other two as alternatives.

Get real, don't let the beltway crowd steal the Republican Party away from us.

THE ESTABLISHMENT CANDIDATE IS MCCAIN.

Guys like former Secretaries of State Henry Kissinger and Alexander Haig, the Rockefeller Republicans are in the McCain camp.

Also President Bush's friend, former Homeland Security Secretary and PA Governor Tom Ridge is on the McCain bandwagon.

On Friday, by the way, Ridge called "waterboarding torture. That echoes the McCain position of course.

I think the Demos will accuse the GOP of racism if the issue comes up.

Its possible trolls have been ginning the issue up to cause problems for us.

The candidates are all rushing to separate themselves from previous statments or positions that were pro-illegal.

Huckabee in his desire to beat McCain in SC last week signed a pledge to send all illegals back.

I want a real security system including a fence for starters plus some serious enforcement.

But powerful business forces see the cheap labor as a priority and they may be sort of right.

I believe that 35 years of legalized abortion has taken millions out of our workforce.

But what should we do. Stop killing babies before birth and secure our borders.

That’s my view of immigration.

We can’t let McCain pretend that he wasn’t for amnesty.

Back in the fall we had three real contenders for the GOP nod, Giuliani, Romney and Thompson. For some strange reason, the New MSM backed Romney and Thompson's poll numbers started to drop.

Come Decemeber, people started to realize that they've been hoodwinked and that Romney was a shill. This is what started the Huckabee surge. The New MSM turned their guns on Huckabee and didn't let up until they thought he was done. Rush Limbaugh even cut his vacation short to return, just so he could bash Huckabee. By the time NH rolled around, everyone knew that Romney was a fraud, Giuliani was a weird cross-dresser, Thompson's support has collapsed, and Huckabee was an evangelical. That left John McCain.

Love him or Hate him, the only reason we talking about a possible McCain nod, is because the New MSM made some major miscalculations and propped up Romney over Thompson.

Regardless of what happens this fall, the New MSM owns this mess.

I want Hillary to win the primaries. I know that we can beat her. She is not as much a Boogey-woman as we are made to appear.

Without saying it directly, you would rather Hillary as President than someone closer to the center of the plotical spectrum.

She's not the boogey-women is your eyes 'cuz (1)You haven't been paying attention to her campaign (2)You didn't pay attention to what she said and did when she WAS in the White House (3)Rather than swallow your pride and admit you backed the wrong horse, you (and many others of similar mind) want to punish the United States as a whole in some perverted psychological fantasy play.

If she is elected, enjoy your new socialized healthcare system as you wait for months for doctor visits and even longer for critical surgeries, all the while getting care from doctors and nurses who speak English poorly if at all. Will she allow citizens to buy private insurance for better healthcare or will we all suffer as one under the heal of a collectivist system?

Enjoy the newly emasculated U.S. military - low moral, low recruitment, and no new equipment.

Global Warming will now drive national policy for just about everything.

And to pay for all this? Higher Taxes for one and all.

There is absolutely nothing in a Hillary Presidency that will augment the strength of the United States.

Our voting has been going on for weeks here. I have friends in Jax, family in the keys and I’m in the panhandle.

I’ve asked them and they have said that when watching local news they have heard that voting was around 30%....I hear some say 40% but I’m not sure.

Voting picked up here after Rudy visited, or that’s what I was told by a fireman who works at a voting site.

That’s all I have.

The man had a cushy job but was drafted to run. He had to wait for his contract on L&O to run out and then put a campaign together.

Others had years to do it. He gave his best.

Without saying it directly, you would rather Hillary as President than someone closer to the center of the plotical spectrum.

I will clarify what I want. I want a conservative president that will drive conservative policies in every facet of important issues, ie fiscal, social, militarily, taxes, gun rights &etc.

If the GOP can't provide that, then I would rather the democrats be responsible for the destruction of the country than an alledged conservative party.

She's not the boogey-women is your eyes 'cuz

Because I believe she is easily beatable. The GOP wants conservatives to see her as the boogey-man as an opportunity to get re-elected, to strengthen their strangle-hold on their voter monoply.

I do believe she is Stalin in drag and dangerous to our country, but I would rather be stabbed in the front by her than stabbed in the back by republicans.

swallow your pride and admit you . . . want to punish the United States . . .

There is no pride to swallow and I, along with many others, do not wish to punish America nor even the GOP, but rather show the GOP that they do not have us "in the bag." They can change their politics our we will continue to send our votes elsewhere. It's not our fault if socialist liberals get elected, because we refuse to elect socialist republicans.

If she is elected, enjoy your new socialized . . . system . . .

I will not nor will many other conservatives, but hopefully the GOP will offer something different the next time around, and if not, I hope conservatives continue to vote elsewhere, until the GOP fixes itself.

There is absolutely nothing in a Hillary Presidency that will augment the strength of the United States.

You are correct.

And it may be that the GOP will realize that they better shape up or continue to lose elections.

My choices were originally Tancredo/Hunter/Thompson. Now it appears I have to choose Romney. No way could I ever vote for creepy, crazy McCain who reminds me of the Manchurian Candidate with his radical amnesty views and other left agenda. While endorsements usually do not mean much, the fact that Tancredo - the politician I respect the most - and Ann Coulter are okay with Romney, is one factor in his favor. Romney is electable, but McCain has far too much baggage.

We can survive a RINO but we cannot survive somebody who may be mentally unbalanced and is determined to harm this country. There is no perfect candidate. I have even disagreed with Tancredo on a couple of issues.

Really? How do you know what Romney actually believes?

I review his actual past choices and behaviors, which are a far more reliable indicator than what he says in the midst of a campaign.

When he says something, do you have some way of determining whether he is actually pandering to you?

When what he says runs counter to what he's done, it's a safe bet he's pandering.

Do you know ONE politician, except Fred, whom I prefer but who won’t win, who does not pander?

There are a few (Pat Toomey, Ron Paul - even though he's a nutter, etc.), but there sure aren't many. And that's the reason our federal government is a disgrace and embarrassment.

Thank you. There are many more that are in agreement with us.

Look at Bush's poll numbers 36%-37%

That probably represents his base, which will likely be the numbers that vote for the republican that wins the primary.

Its not enough to win the general election. The GOP needs to realize it.

If we keep the pressure up as we move along the process I suspect we will see a number of R-politicians move more to the right in an effort to gain more voters to the base.

I like John McCain. He is a Heroic American, and a good Senator.

He has integrity, and he very effectively schmoozes as the straight-talking smart-alecky heroic-maverick.

People like his straight-talking-maverick routine, but will it work as President?

I think McCain is quite smart, but he finished 4th from last in his Naval-Academy class, and retired as a mere Captain, despite 23 years of heroic, distinguished service in a Navy where both his father and grandfather became 4-star-Admirals.

McCain freely admits that his smart-alecky personality has hurt his performance and advancement at times, but quickly pours out a supposedly-new-found kind of polite but groveling graciousness, to assure anybody that he has now learned to behave better. And if he slips up, which he does once in a while, he just quickly pours out some more of his syrupy solution to fix his latest personality blunder. Sometimes he goes a bit overboard with the groveling, but nobody can say he is not a tough, heroic guy.

So, this seems to work okay, for a hero and even a Senator. In fact, quite a few other heroes and Senators could have similarly fit into this straight-talking smart-alecky heroic-maverick mold. But, I can’t think of any Presidents… certainly not any great Presidents.

Despite all this, I think McCain can be a good Republican President, if he ever gets the chance. McCain’s tough straight-talk on national defense appeals to many Republicans and Independents, and I personally trust that he would do the right things militarily.

But, the Democrats will have a field day portraying McCain as a Dangerous Maverick at the trigger singing “Bomb, Bomb, Bomb; Bomb, Bomb, Iran” with a smart-alecky grin on his face. And, the worst thing is… McCain will surly go overboard with his groveling schmooze to try to assure them that he would never do that.

McCain couldn’t make it to Admiral in his father’s Navy. He was smart to retire and go for the Heroic Senator role. But the Commander in Chief with nobody else to answer to? Is this the right role for guy who demonstrates and admits that his straight-talking smart-alecky heroic-maverick personality repeatedly gets him into trouble, and then compensates with a kind of groveling schmooze to assure everybody that he has this personality trait under control, and that we can trust him as Commander in Chief.

The Democrats will kill his campaign faster than Bush killed his campaign in 2000.
