WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? (DEFEAT MCCAIN)
1/20/08 | Self

Posted on 01/20/2008 5:04:20 AM PST by Nextrush

I said go for Fred in South Carolina because I wanted to give Thompson a chance to mix this race up.

But Fred fell short now and the main concern of mine is to beat McCain.

There's a media orgasm-coronation going on right now and we have to have straight heads to stop it.

Lets not infight and let trolls lead us atray.

Here's a serious look at how to defeat a man who's a virtual Democrat and a traitor to the conservative cause in this country.

McCain-Feingold made the First Amendment into toilet paper.

The law was designed to protect incumbent politicians by keeping little candidates from getting outside support to defeat entrenched politicians.

And we all have a list of what McCain has done to help Democrats and hurt Conservatives from the Gang of Fourteen on down.

Straight heads must prevail at this point.

I've heard two guys on two different networks (David Gergen on CNN, Bill Sammon of the "Washington Examiner" on Fox News) point out that Thompson is a "friend" of McCain. Sammon suggested Fred will endorse McCain.

That should settle the issue I brought up some weeks ago about Fred being a McCain front if it pans out.

Fred can't do much if he stays in right now but hold Tennessee which if he wants to run there on February 5th makes me happy enough.

McCain must be defeated by tactical voting.

I only hope Giuliani doesn't collapse from the media wave before we reach New York on February 5th. Its a winner take all primary and the only candidate who can take out McCain there is Rudy.

In New York and New Jersey on February 5th, I'm certain Rudy is the anti-McCain vote to defeat him there. You have to vote Rudy there to stamp out the McCain Mutiny.

Romney will contest Florida so vote for him there on the 29th to stop McCain.

Huckabee at least campaigned against McCain in the last few days in South Carolina.

The return the illegals pledge he signed along with on-air (MSNBC) criticism of McCain-Feingold I saw was clearly aimed at McCain.

But yes Huckabee always says nice things about McCain.

Maybe that's just his style.

If Huckabee is a shill for McCain, lets make Huck prove it by giving him wins and delegates in states where he is strongest. On February 5th, that will be Oklahoma, Alabama and or course Arkansas.

Back to Romney, he's the obvious choice in Utah, Colorado and Massachusetts on February 5th.

Romney should probably contest Missouri so you know who to vote for there.

Wouldn't it be nice if the native son of Missouri who's name inspired mine finally came out of the closet for Romney?

Is he fiddlin around while the Republican Party burns?

Emporer McCain and his media buddies are torching the place right now.

Focus your vote in the next few weeks on the strongest possible candidate in your state to defeat McCain.

Its straight heads time and I won't attack Huck, Romney or Rudy at this point because I'm not in the McCain helping business.

The grim task is to knock McCain down so hopefully a conservative alternative can rise up (that would probably be Romney). (ALL CRITICS CAN SHUT UP AT THIS POINT BECAUSE YOU ONLY HELP MCCAIN BY TRASHING ROMNEY)

But I will accept the other two as alternatives.

Get real, don't let the beltway crowd steal the Republican Party away from us.

THE ESTABLISHMENT CANDIDATE IS MCCAIN.

Guys like former Secretaries of State Henry Kissinger and Alexander Haig, the Rockefeller Republicans are in the McCain camp.

Also President Bush's friend, former Homeland Security Secretary and PA Governor Tom Ridge is on the McCain bandwagon.

On Friday, by the way, Ridge called "waterboarding torture. That echoes the McCain position of course.

While I”m disappointed with McCain’s win in SC, I’m for Fred Thompson, if he (McCain) does become the nominee are we going to sit home and let that witch or Obama become President? A democratic administration with a democratic congress will surely be a death blow for this country as we know it. I think we conservatives should hold our noses once again and at least slow down this march towards socialism so many idiots in this country seem to want. I don’t think we can afford to allow the dems to take over just to let the country go down the toilet so we can “fix” it next election. At least with McCain we have some chance of getting another decent Supreme Court judge instead of another Ginsberg or worse. Just my opinion. God help this once great Republic.

If you had told me a few years ago that I would be advocating for McCain, I would have told you you were insane.

Thompson is my first pick. He's a strong conservative. Unfortunatly he was sold down the river by the New MSM.

Huckabee is my second. He's been pigeon holed into looking like a one issue candidate. That's partially his fault. Either way, I don't think he can recover from it.

Romney is a liberal or communist, depending on which year you look at.

Giuliani is a cross-dressing freak!

That leaves McCain vs Romney. While I don't agree with all his positions, I'd take him over Romney. Despite the constant hammering by the New MSM, he has still managed to pull off some victories. He's been in public office since 82. Everything he's ever done is out in the open. Like him or not, there will be no surprises.

He (Johnnie Mc) could have switched and became a Democratic hero, but he stuck with the Republicans.

Yes, he could have been a dem hero for about 2 seconds, then he would have sunk into the morass of sameness with the rest of the liberal democrats. He would never do that because he likes the spotlight too much. As a Republican, he sticks out like a knot on a log, as a democrat, he would have faded into the background as just another one of many.

[of Huckabee]"In my opinion, he’s the worst and sneakiest, because he is using religion and Jesus to fool voters. I think that is so despicable. But I know that God does not sleep, and he will not look kindly on someone who uses Him this way."

This is my basic opinion of Huckabee, also. Narrow minded, single issue GOP voters could really mess things up for the nomination. But, I choose to follow my natural optimism and support Fred to the end. He is still the only true conservative, and maybe things will work out. ;-)

Most of the support for McCainiac seems to come from independents. No stopping that.

Whose family picture do I want to see on the Whitehouse Christmas card (other than Fred’s)?

Romney’s. Too bad he’s such a slick, poseable Ken doll. The fact that every other candidate dislikes him is rather telling too.

I refuse to allow the Clinton’s to hang rubbers from the Whitehouse Christmas tree again. (how many recall THAT?)

McCain is not a possibility for me, plus, his valley girl daughter thinks Obama is “cute” and HIS ‘trophy wife’ looks like she could morph into ‘Mommy Dearest’ at the drop of a hat.

I’d rather have Bill Clinton as First Lady than Huckabee’s wife. Her Whitehouse china pattern would probably include pigs. Bill’s choice of the Playboy Bunny symbol would be preferable, at least it would be in basic, yet classic, black & white.

Ron Paul is living in The Twilight Zone & Rudy is giving speeches in retirement homes.

This is giving me a nosebleed....

Vote for him; vote for Hillary. The result will be identical. Both will do exactly what Soros tells them to do; or perhaps both agree with Soros' goals to end this country.

Running McLame is equivalent to selecting Harriet Miers to be on the supreme court. It’s stupid. McNitWit will NEVER win. Time to make some noise. McKennedy is his own worst enemy and will UNITE Conservatives against him. Give the traitorous bastard the heave ho.

I too wanted Fred. It does seem that the MSM has selected McLame to lose to Hitlery in 08’. I will not support a man who has consistently stabbed conservatives in the back.

I also will not go to the polls and pull the lever for the Huckster.

I guess that leaves Romney——whatever. It does not matter. The sheeple will continue to graze on the junk the MSM spits out and elect Hitlery Rotten Klinton.

Hitlery will be our next president no matter who the republicans put up.

The MSM, Rhinos (RNC—what a feckless group!), and the Rats are now spending the Sunday mourning talk shows killing my ONE HERO , Ronald Reagan.

Reagan appointed Sandra Day O'Conner. I would take Miers over her any day.

Are you forgetting that Bush appointed Miers, not McCain?

You are advocating chaos. In order to oppose something, you must be for something first. A brokered convention is no guarantee of stopping a McCain nomination. If such a scenerio occurs, McCain could still win the nomination by flashing polls that show him to be the most electable.

The Rudy Shills are hoping anti-McCain dislike will give him support. The argument for voting for Giuliani is based on fear - fear of Muslims, fear of blacks, fear of Hillary, fear of McCain. It will be funny in FL to see McCain and Rudy call each other RINOs.

I’m for anybody but McCain and that is a decent and honorable position.

McCain will lose because he is a Washington politician who will be tarred and feathered by the Demo friendly liberal media.

We need someone from outside DC and with Rudy, Huck or Romney we get that plus.

I may disagree with these three on quite a few matters, but seriously they are least outisde of the beltway guys.

Bear, I am the furthest from a RINO as they come and I am telling you it is RINO vs the Clintons.

Be mindful of "fear" as a motivator. It is useful in the right circumstance, but can make one act irrational.

I want Hillary to win the primaries. I know that we can beat her. She is not as much a Boogey-woman as we are made to appear.

However, if it means that the liberal GOP has a strnagle-hold on conservative voters, what does it matter if a liberal from either party ruins the country.

Conservatives are frustrated with the GOP. They no longer inspire confidence amongst their people and they are willing to shop elsewhere. That is good. It will send a message to the GOP to change their product or lose the entire market share.

I have to believe that our country can survive a D controlled government. If not, what's the point of being a conservative at all? If not short-term, than at least long-term we can survive.

I think of them as different denominations of the same religion so to speak.

I guess I was into JBS material like Alan Stang when I was a teenager.

My favorite JBS book was “Teddy Bare” which laid out the Kennedy “drive over the bridge” in 1969 and other Kennedy related material.

McShamnesty is NOT going to get any traction ala Harriet Meirs. To quote Reagan: “Go a head and make our day”. Conservatives AGAINST the RINO McTraitor.

I won't vote for McCain. I might even vote for Hillary if he gets the nom.

You can now try to make the case that Hillary is worse than McCain, but you won't be able to do so. Hillary never provided the leadership for the kind of anti-American messes McCain made.

For instance, go back and look up how John McCain worked with the neocons to get the US into the Balkans, and now we are left with a new base of strength for Islamic terrorists. (There's a reason the neos love McCain) Our speech being limited by mcCain-Feingold--the constant, self-promoting mischief he made. The attempt to hand America over to Mexico. He opposed our tax cuts. On and On--the many ways McCain wanted to kick Americans in the teeth to grandstand to the liberals.

As for what Hillary would try, she'd have opposition--we've seen how it works when a Repub president sneers and scoffs at his own base. Bush didn't have to deal with us until we rebelled on immigration, and now he hates us bitterly and is seeking out mischief to do before his term ends (gun-grabbing).

He just has to deal with the liberals. but Hillary would have to deal with conservatives.

It could be that conservatives will only be viable if a weak Democrat is in office, rather than a liberal Republican.

McCain functions as a kind of figleaf for the chickenhawks, something I've always resented. The pundits who've never gotten their hands greasy holding a gun like to talk up McCain because he brings the whiff of military.

I'm hoping for Romney, but thinking about the worst case scenario. Fred and Rudy could hand their support to McCain.

McCain is old, sick, mean and crazy. Better the crook you know than the kook you don't.
