Excellent point.
I’m not thrilled with McCain, but I’m realizing that we could do a lot worse.

Don’t be so sure.
McCain is in his 70’s. If an extreme pro-death candidate, like Hillary is on the left, many evangelicals will see him as the better of two evils.

I don’t care for them too much - I’m with Willard and always have been. But Huckabee will be out after Florida if he is an honest man, and you’ll be left with McCain and Romney on Super Duper Tuesday.

I urge you to reconsider. Look at Huckabee's record on turning criminals loose in Arkansas. It is the same, or worse, than Dukakis in Massachusetts. Look at his record on raising taxes. Look at his "let them all in" attitude on illegal immigration.
These are not the policies of a conservative. These are not even the policies of a Republican. Take a close look. See if that's what you REALLY want in the White House.
Cordially,
Congressman Billybob

If she manages to ‘win’ once, what makes you think we will be given an option to vote again?

I hope if McCain is nominated, he at least picks a younger qualified VP because I doubt he makes it 4 years, let alone 8. As far as evangelicals, they will sit home in record numbers, just as they did prior to Ronald Reagan’s campaign. The leftist GOP leadership has fractured the party beyond repair in 2008.

(Never forget the Republicans who voted for illegal immigrant amnesty in 2007!)

I am a Thompson supporter. Given only a choice between McCain and Romney, I would have to hold my nose and vote for Romney.

"I will always refuse to vote for either John McCain or Mike Huckabee because both of them are too unacceptable to conservatives on too many issues to vote for!" I'm with you!

I appreciate you not making the perfect like the enemy of the good.
Thompson was a good guy in general. If he had been a governor instead of a Senator, he might still be standing.
To: mbraynard
Thompson IS still standing. He stands tall above the phony RINOs.

After a “Number 3” on our soil, she could very well be impeached.
