Here’s my own personal tribute to Congressman Hunter:

I first met him in 2006, when he came in to help a very good friend of mine in his successful bid for Congress. Really didn’t know much about him before that, but he mightily impressed me with his humility, graciousness, and principled approach to politics.

Nothing I’ve seen since has changed that analysis. I’ve had a number of conversations with him over the last year, and my respect for him has only grown.

I wish him and his family nothing but the very best.

Thank you for your encourgaing words. The character traits you ascribe to Mr Hunter are sorely lacking in all the other candidates.

I too am sad to see him go but hope that he might get the nod as running mate.
