I hope he’s 4th and out so we can quit wasting time on him and deal with actual contenders.

Great move by Huckleberry to get on the SC flag issue. Too bad he might actually win the nomination now though.

I just got “polled” I told her I was voting for Fred Thompson before she could get the rest of the names out.

Hey Newbie... Way to go in attempting to suppress the vote for the conservative. Even if you believe the exit polling data, which has certainly been way off before, Fred is very close to Romney for a 3rd.

The early release of this exit poll is designed to demoralize Fred supporters and convince those who have not yet voted that it’s a lost cause.

Don’t fall for it, SC. If you have not yet voted, cast your vote.

That says among “conversatives”. Are there composite numbers?

And why are all these “conservatives” for the most liberal two candidates?

Are those numbers for Republican primary voters or only for a conservative segment? I seems to be only among those who described themselves ‘conservatives’, right?

It is interesting that Romney is third after spending the most time and money in North Carolina.

Look I like Fred, but it’s just not going to happen. All these Fred people need to get real...who is going to beat Hillary and not totally sell conservatism out? He’s not perfect but Romney is the best bet...

If this holds true, combined with the results of the other states, it’s apparent to me that the republican party is no longer a conservative party. At least when it comes to smaller government and federalism.

I knew us conservatives were in trouble when my first choice Brownback dropped out early. People laughed, people made fun, but he was the most social conservative of the bunch and for the most social conservative to exit so early showed that it won’t be a conservative President this time around. America is in a different mood. What can you do. BTW no one is laughing now except the Libs.

If Goober Graham’s state of South Carolina, rejects Fred for the likes of McCain and Huckabee, then shame on them. I will never vote Democrat for President, but I might go half way. I would vote third party for Lou Dobbs, he is to the right of the remaining field both Democrat and Republican on ILLEGAL immigration.

Say what you will about McCain, but Huckabee is more conservative than Romney on any issue.

1-Romney said that Bush's immigration plan was not amnesty.

2-Romney has been very consistent on his pro-choice stance. He has never changed his position, just the way he talks about.

3-He is very pro-gay.

4-Thanks to his health care plan, if you don't have health insurance in MA, you will get a monthly fine and your wages garnished.

5-He didn't raise taxes, he just raised fees by $500,000,000, and proposed millions more in tax hikes on businesses.

6-I don't think he ever cut taxes. If he has I haven't heard about it.

7-He ran an all out (democrat style) smear campaign against Huckabee in Iowa and lost.

8-He wants to work on a "World Solution" to fight global warming.

9-His 2nd amendment positions are questionable at best.

The only thing he has going for him, is the media doesn't like him, but the media doesn't like David Duke either and I would never vote for him.

Why are they showing exit polls before the polls close?
That influences voters.
