“However if Fred finishes 3rd, or maybe even 2nd in SC, and the ordinary people take a look just before Super Tuesday to see who is running and Fred hasn’t won a contest yet, and is polling single digits in most places. What makes you think they’ll vote for him when he looks like a sure loser.”

Because they will have heard him speak more, and will have seen him in at least two debates before Super Tuesday. Then they will realize that Fred is the real conservative in the race. GO FRED!

The people of SC saw him debate last week...a debate that he supposedly did very well in....how’s he doing in SC?
Nobdy that doesn’t already know his positions is going to care enough to find out. The question I asked was to a response that Fred could still come back because regular voters, not political junkies, hadn’t even started to pay attention yet.So what’s likely to make them start listening to a 2nd tier guy polling single digits.
Right now the only way I can see Fred getting the nomination is if some freak accident takes everybody else out of the race. Shoot he might not even get it then.
