A border agent laid down a spike strip in the road. Black Hummer driven by drug smuggler deliberately swerved, ran over, and killed the border agent. He fled into Mexico. The agent did not fire his weapon.

Of course he didn't, our government has set a precedent and sends agents to jail if they do.

Huckabee just promised the drug smuggler total clemency, a full scholarship and welfare payments for life.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they had propped up his dead body in Federal Court for the trial, then sentenced it to 99 years.
My 17-year-old son lived the first part of his life in Japan, and has only been here for 21 months. The other night he remarked, “America has gone crazy. I don’t believe all the nutty things that go on,” or words to that effect in Japanese.
Homeland Security should have squads of heavily armed military veterans down there, putting LAWS rockets and .50 caliber rounds into vehicles like that. Survivors should be shot while trying to escape.
At this very minute in LA is a rally calling for the release of Ramos and Compean, who similarly put themselves in harm’s way for our sake.

How did he get back to Mexico? Wasn't he stopped by a fence or vehicle barriers?
Expect official apology from Bush admin and self exoneration claiming the border agent acted on his own and should have let the fleeing smuggler return safely to meheco....

Gun shy. Probably figured he'd end up being tossed into general pop. in some Hispanic-dominated prison somewhere.
This is probably a result of the Border Patrol’s spike policy, which mandates that agents have to bee seen for hundreds of yards by the smuggler when deploying the spikes. It supercedes the previous policy where agents could ambush load vehicles at curves, bridges, hills and overpasses. I hope this is an error.
How much damage was done to the Hummer? Will the border agent’s estate cover it, or will the US taxpayers need to kick in?
