Oh, Candor, you must be kidding. The Chinese are not running the Panama Canal.
The two ports (Balboa and Cristobal) being run by Hutchison Whampoa are under British management with Panamaian blue-collar workers.
U.S. companies have some of the other ports.
Also, a U.S. company runs the railroad.
