Rush has a problem sometimes, and it has to do with his lack of direct political power, which he misses from time to time. His power IS indirect through influence. And when his influence doesn't work, it can really pi$$ him off no end.
That is why sometimes it is good to remind Rushie that he should run for electoral office.
He should not hold this against Hunter. Duncan was right on the issue, and DSucans experience with China's free porting in California was the basis for Duncan's position.

I would venture to say that Rush has total respect and support for Hunter -- as a conservative Republican.
But as the old saying goes, politics is the 'art of the possible' ... or something like that.
Rush could run campaign ads three hours a day on his radio show, and Duncan would not get nearly enough support to win the Primary much less the General.
The best conservative does NOT always make the best candidate.
On a side note, Duncan sent me six letters today, one for each time I donated to his campaign.
Seems he wants to apply for Federal matching funds, and by law those who donated by credit card have to sign a form saying they agree to matching funds, or something like that??
Anyway, I signed all six and sent them back to Duncan in one envelope.
