Today is the day.
There is a graphic in a recent Washington Times [Monday, Jan 14] showing Republican congressmen giving up seats in states all over the country. Just like the many Dems who retired after the Gingrich Revolution it seems that congressmen don’t enjoy working in DC if they are in the minority.
Nineteen Republicans have announced that they are not going to run, and three others have already resigned.
(22 total)
6 dems are not seeking re-election.
Five Republican senators are not seeking re-election, no dems making that choice.
DOn’t forget the lightbulbs!
North SC is Huckabee country. I would think it helps McCain more than Fred.
Might make Fred's placement better.
The MSM will withhold this depiction until (Baptist) God forbid Huck wins the nomination. Then watch out!
Unfortunately, it is a ticket that will never exist. If Fred can't be president, he doesn't want any position in Washington. Same with McCain. Possibly Rudy too, but I'm not sure. I would literally bet my life that both McCain and Fred want to be president, or nothing at all.
Thanks for the clarification. :)
I am curious because Huck won here in Iowa and I saw NO organizing, at least along traditional lines. I want to know how he’s doing it.
I know my county, and there wasn’t even a county chair here. I cannot figure out how he got it done under all our noses of the usual organizers in this county, considering we are all pretty tapped in and it’s a tight knit county.
Anecdotal evidence suggests it’s thru the churches with a generous dose of MSM backing that up. I think if Team Fred can figure out Huck’s formula, it can be countered pretty easily.
Right guys. Wrong order.
I do not know if this has been posted yet!

Upstate it’s about 40 and raining right now. The snowing is coming though.
Hubby and I voted a little while ago.
Have to say, earlier this morning I went out for a grocery run and saw a big dark blue(?) Ford pickup with a big oval “Fred ‘08” sign in the bed, looked awesome. Also Fred magnets on the doors. The guy was behind be at a light and I put my arm out the window and gave him the thumbs up. Not sure if he noticed but it really made my day to see that truck driving around. Personally I think it will be a great reminder for people to go and vote (hopefully for Fred!).
Anybody know who that guy with the truck is? That sign had to have cost a pretty penny.
Correct. You are only allowed one vote between the two primaries.
OK, Here is MY POLL:
My latest poll shows McCain, Huckabee, and Fred tied.
Now, whom are you McCain haters going to vote for?
Yes, the Leftist portions of SC are down south. Given how weather effected turnout for McCain in MI bad weather down south should held Fred.
In Hunter's case (as with any House member), I will concede that he probably knew he was going to run for President as he ran for re-election in 2006, so he should have resigned his seat then. This also would apply to Sen. Clinton who should have refrained from seeking re-election to the Senate in 2006 since she knew she would be running for the Whitehouse in 2008.
Ah, you convinced me. I’m not voting for him in 2008, for sure. LOL.
Meanwhile ... proamnesty-antiBushtaxcuts-proCO2caps-CFR-RINO John McCain delenda est!
... and Huckster is worse than all of that combined.
