“At one time, the American press was well-respected throughout the world.”

Really? That must be before my time.

"Unlike the American press of World War II, today's reporters seem to be in league with the enemy and cheer on our defeat."

Nuff said.

The Mainstream Media Is No Longer A Relevant Source of Information

That is a conclusion I came to more than 10 years ago and nothing has changed which would cause me to reevaluate.

The Mainstream Media Is No Longer A Relevant Source of Information

You know that, I know that and most people on FR know that, but unfortunately the sheeple (majority) of this country don't have a clue. Whats really scary is that they really don't want a clue because that would require thinking and thinking is really hard and it's much easier to have some pompous leftist moron on the tube do it for them. Worst of all, thinking for yourself could cause, horrors of horrors, un-pc thought.

Unfortunately, the title is garbled a wee bit.

They are indeed, no longer a source of relevant information, but in that so many continue to be dependant upon the MSM for what little they 'know' about our nation and the world, the MSM remains a relevant source of information, by virtue of the very masses they infuse with their lies and drivel.

“At one time, the American press was well-respected throughout the world.”

Perhaps in the 1930’s and 1940’s, but during my lifetime, they have always lied, yet no where near as bad as they do now.

Speaking of blind squirrels and irrelevant sources, my wirehaired doxie writes better than Jack Russell. What an awkward, cliche-ridden waste of pixels.

They now spend their time reporting on the latest drunken antics of celebrity tarts such as Britney Spears and Paris Hilton...and now we have the revelations in the Hillary White House papers from Senator Rockefeller that members of the press were waiting to get marching orders to help destroy those who opposed Hill's medical takeover plan - how far they've fallen.......

When the American newsmedia made the decision to become a propaganda machine instead of a provider of truth and information it damned itself to irrelevance and ignominy. It has earned the scorn and disgust of decent, honest people now and for all time.

“At one time, the American press was well-respected throughout the world.”

Maybe that's because they were able to get away with their lies and deceptions more easily before talk radio and the internet though. For example:

The Ukrainian Holocaust of 1932-33:

"To curry Stalin's favor, for example, Walter Duranty - the Moscow based reporter of the New York Times, repeatedly denied the existence of a famine in his articles (while privately estimating that about ten million people starved to death). For the "profundity, impartiality, sound judgment and exceptional clarity" of his dispatches from the USSR, Duranty received the Pulitzer Prize in 1932.

I don’t think it was unbiased back then either. It’s just all the people had. The gatekeepers have been defeated.
