HERE'S AN ODD LITTLE Hillary Clinton proposal: She wants a government blogging team.
At first blush, the idea could cut either way--nutty or silly. We might even call it ridiculous, if we weren't busy laughing at it.
So let's do what bloggers always do and go contrarian. Yes, let's take Clinton seriously. Let's consider whether her idea of a team of government bloggers has merit.

Howard Mortman is the public affairs practice director for New Media Strategies. He blogs at ExtremeMortman.com.
I nominate Dr. Joycelyn Elders.
She thinks that bloggers are going to say "Oh, OK, she's one of US".
Underneath it all is a noble idea: that Joe Average out here in browser-land can read about the decisions made today in the Small Business Administration concerning the tax implications of automobile leasing.
But she has no practical sense at all: who's going to do the blogging?
Who's going to decide who hires the bloggers?
Who's going to blog about the process of hiring a new blogger for the Insect Eradication Agency of the FDA?
Unmitigated Twerp, she is.
I guess dropping leaflets from an airplane just doesn’t work as well anymore ...
For a thought exercise, imagine if the “government” had a group of bloggers during the Lewinsky (or countless other) scandals during the Clinton administration. Day in, and day out, we’d hear first hand in these blogs, of the same old tired press releases that the MSM gave every news cycle. All blogs would do would be to give the administration more ability to spin facts into their court. Blogs would by used for “hyper-news.”
The Breck Girl knows all about blogging....

“She wants a government blogging team.”.....she’s going to need a government stain removal team if Bubba gets to roam the white house again!
Every Department of the Executive Branch already does strategic communications, with the primary purpose of explaining how vital they are and why they need more generous funding. Increased official .gov presence in the blogosphere probably will not be a good thing during the Rodham Administration. They will gin up a threat to .gov blogs to justify restrictions. Her ultimate objective is control of information.

Kennedy wasn't so big on the manned space program till he needed something to divert attention away from the Bay of Pigs fiasco.
She tossed this idea out during her interview with Tim Russert. Very creepy as she claimed she wanted to have a very transparent access when she is president and oh, by the way, she plans on fixing the internet blogging situation (long pause) by forming a goverment team to make sure the public gets the information it needs.
Clinton code speak for we are going to fix this internet thing so it only says what we tell it to!
That whole interview was very disturbing as anytime I paused it on my TIVO the expression on her face looked fanatical. Russert was even skittish and refused to press her on many issues as he seemed to be calculating what she would do to him if she became president. There will be “Hell to Pay” if she is elected. If anything, she is more split personality acting than ever before.
"If you want to know what a Hillary Clinton Administration would be like, her known history is a pretty good indicator. We know a lot bout the woman who now stands a good chance to become the first radical Leftist President of the United States...."
It's a bio of her then and up to now. It isn't a word picture of a stellar American.
If I believed in reincarnation, I would have no problem believing Hillary is the reincarnation of Hitler.
