Hillary Clinton on Thursday sidestepped talk of having rival Barack Obama as her running mate if she eventually wins the battle for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Answering questions after addressing students at California State University Northridge, the New York senator said it was too early to start thinking about potential partners in the November election.
Asked if she believed Obama could be her vice presidential nominee, Clinton said she was "superstitious" and "can't think that far ahead."
But although Clinton has repeatedly attempted to portray Obama as inexperienced and not ready to become President, she showered the Illinois senator with praise.
"He is an extraordinary man and he has so much to give our country," Clinton said. "I hope that however it works out that he will be a major figure in American politics for years and years to come.
"I certainly support that."
Clinton spent Thursday campaigning across California and will head to Nevada later ahead of Saturday's Democratic caucuses.
I thought all that the Hillary ducks could say was ASFCME
, she then hopped on her broom and flew away!
In reality Mr. Obama has shown Mrs. Clinton up in this election. He’s made her to look bad. She doesn’t want Mr. Obama as her V.P. , She wants him dead.
You know, if Obama gets the nomination, HE might want to consider HER as HIS running mate!!!!!LOL!.........
Hes made her to look bad?
She didn’t need much help.......
The way off the list runs through Ft. Marcy Park, not through the Democratic Convention.
If Obama wises up, moves quickly to the back of the bus, and starts saying "Yassuh boss" and "Yes, Miz" to Massah and Miz Clinton, then she might consider it.
But I doubt it.
She can't take a punch.
Of course, she's going to say that.
Maybe she’s afraid that someone will next come up with the ticket Obama/Clinton. And she can’t play 2nd fiddle to him. If offends her racial sensabilities.
I would not have dismissed a Hillary-Obama ticket if Hillary had sailed through the primaries and was crowned at the Denver convention. However, Hillary is in the fight for her political life with Obama and will pull all the stops out of the Clinton smear and discredit machine. At this point Hillary may have trouble getting the nomination.
She will NEVER have Obama as VP....NEVER!
Don’t be too sure. Remember, with the Clintons it’s all about winning. Whatever it takes. And if they think that would guarantee victory, they’d do it.
That would be the easiest way to get to the White House.
By the time this Primary season is over those two will hate each other’s guts.
[”can’t think that far ahead.”]
I don’t know who she kidding, this whole scenario was well thought out years ago, she was going to need a young ‘rock star’ figure as a running mate and Obama was invented to fill that need.
In my opinion, the only thing that would destroy their plans is if, somewhere along the line, Obama decided to walk off the ‘plantation’ and REALLY run for the top spot.
After the mysterious death of Ron Brown (and all the other Arkancides), I worry what might happen to Obama if Hillary sees her own hopes going down the drain. The Clinton m.o. is to do things in a way that can’t be traced back to them, so I think they would only try to eliminate him if they could make the country believe Republicans or some extremist racist group was responsible. After Waco, I wouldn’t put anything past them.
Why would Hillary have ducks as part of her campaign?
You’d think she would’ve stuck with the donkey or maybe used an eagle.
And why would ducks be making policy for her campaign?
When it comes down to it.. I can almost promise it will be either a Clinton/Obama or Obama/Clinton ticket. That is their plan from the start. Woman/part black ticket
Everyone needs to buy the “Hillary” movie. It’s at citizensunited.com. I think.
