The United States is prepared to settle pending trade disputes with China in a "businesslike manner" if Beijing is willing, the top US trade official said Thursday.

"Some lawmakers have proposed sanctions intended to sanction China for allegedly keeping its yuan currency undervalued to gain an unfair trade advantage which has resulted in a ballooning multibillion-dollar trade surplus with the US. "
"This is not a good time for Congress to be seeking quick-fixes for complex international economic challenges," she added.
Ah, globalism. (It's only a "good time" for Congress to intervine in "complex international economic challenges" when the Executive demands Fast-Track for Trade deals.)
Meanwhile, China is planning to destroy us.

Late today, must be busy bragging about how loud the economy is booming.
