Ministers have adopted a new language for declarations on Islamic terrorism. In future, fanatics will be referred to as pursuing "anti-Islamic activity".

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said that extremists were behaving contrary to their faith, rather than acting in the name of Islam.

Security officials believe that directly linking terrorism to Islam is inflammatory, and risks alienating mainstream Muslim opinion.

So the UK government is now an authority on what is Islamic and non-Islamic. Either that or they’re just dhimmis.

So how will the real anti islamists be termed. I am an anti-islamic individual. I don’t threaten or carry out terrorism. I don’t trust the faith thats all.

... And Great Britain will now be referred to as Tolerable Britain so as not to infer that they think they’re better than anyone else... /s...?

So now anyone talking out about any Islamic as radical can now be officially termed "Anti-Islamic".

Ah, the beauty of government interference and over-regulation of our lives./s

Actually, the Islamic fundamental/extremists are the ones who are performing exactly in accordance with their religion...with what what the Koran and Mohammed taught...and did. The English liberals are being assimilated before our very eyes.

First thing I thought of, Newspeak. George Orwell deserves an ever-burning flame and an honor guard, and the ministers should be required to pay a monthly visit to have their heads kicked out of their arses.

As it reads, those that carry out acts of terrorism are to be referred to those undertaking anti-islamic activity: The terrorists themselves. Because islam does not promote it, there actions are anti-islamic. Completely A@# backwards.

The proper term is “doublespeak”.

This American's not making any promises.

Britain will have to prove it's not a theocracy before I call for it to be saved. I'm not sure a theocracy can be saved from itself.

This is good news for the Muslims. It shows that the British Infidels are clueless and gutless and are not going to address the problem.

It is like calling cancer by another less scary name and thinking the problem is going to go away on it's own. - Tom

Excellent and no surprise it is you who pinned the tail on this donkey of an idea.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we follow right behind them. After all it’s our goverment that calls it a religion of peace. Argggh.

Good to see you Jeff.

Well, now we know-the important thing is whether or not a thing makes Islam look bad, not whether or not it kills innocent civilians. Musn’t do anything anti-Islam. If they could only kill civilians without appearing to be insane radicals, everything would be just peachy, one must assume from this. Of course, the people doing the killing are laughing up their sleeves-they have never cared how murder made them look—heck, they videotape their decapitations—and they have front organisations like CAIR to take care of PR (and put Western civilisation on the defensive by hoisting us on the petard of our own political correctness). The jihadist killers themselves don’t have time for all our angst about words, they have people to kill, and they know what their priorities are. Too bad we can’t get ours straight.
