If House Bill 404 becomes law, any local law enforcement officer in Mew Hampshire who finds what he suspects to be an illegal alien would be forbidden by law from investigating the suspect based on immigration status. Rep. Lily Mesa, (D-Manchester), sponsored HB 404 because, she says, there have been "many instances" of "police harassing people." She means illegal immigrants. But her bill does not prohibit harassment. It prohibits local law enforcement officers from "investigating or enforcing any violation of federal immigration laws." Mesa's bill, among other things, hands illegal immigrants a "Get Out Of The Traffic Stop Free" card, provided the only laws the police suspect them of breaking are immigration laws. Remember that Mohammed Atta, ringleader of the 9/11 hijackers, drove through on an expired tourist visa to make a practice run for the hijacking of American Airlines Flight 11. In addition to letting illegal migrant workers move freely through New Hampshire, this bill would make New Hampshire safe for terrorists traveling on false or expired documents. This is a seriously dangerous bill and should be voted down unanimously.

Rep Mesa. Evidently the Rep forgot which people elected her and who she is supposed too protect. Maybe she should go to Mexico and run for office. Or the next time someone is raped or killed by an illegal they should sue the state Reps.

And the Union Leader is complaining about this after they endorsed McCain?
The same thought occurred to me. They endorsed the one who partnered with Kennedy to bring us amnesty. Go figure!
Right - but they don’t give a damn about us. They’re the servants of the ethnocentric pressure groups and the business special-interest lobbies that love those low wages with no basic benefits (better yet, off the books!). They don’t care if it’s ruining our society so long as they can be reelected.
And I’ll share your amusement. There’s nothing like a good exposure to harsh reality. Wait until they see their taxes skyrocket for prison incarceration, social welfare services, bankrupt school districts, insolvent hospitals and the human and economic costs of the drug cartel!
Absolutely! They’re hoping we have short memories and will forget what they’ve done. For example, I saw Sen. Lindsay Graham who had supported the comprehensive “amnesty” immigration bill with McCain and Kennedy. He was on TV with a big grin next to McCain. At the time Graham had gone to the bottom in the polls with his constituents. Now he’s back with the same guy with the same message. You’re right - vote the bums out!
