Huckabee vows to send all illegal aliens home

TIGERVILLE, S.C. — Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee yesterday continued to move to the right on immigration during this year's presidential campaign, signing a pledge to enforce immigration laws and to make all illegal aliens go home.

The pledge, offered by immigration control advocacy group Numbers USA, commits Mr. Huckabee to oppose a new path to citizenship for current illegal aliens and to cut the number of illegal aliens already in the country through attrition by law enforcement — something Mr. Huckabee said he will achieve through his nine-point immigration plan.

"Some would say it's a tough plan. It is, but it's also fair and reasonable," Mr. Huckabee said.

Mr. Huckabee signed the pledge in South Carolina, whose Saturday Republican primary is shaping up as the most important contest so far. Unlike the previous primaries and caucuses, which have been contested usually by just two candidates, four Republicans are making all-out efforts here: Mr. Huckabee, former Sen. Fred Thompson of Tennessee, Sen. John McCain of Arizona and former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts.

If your in SC (voting Saturday) and you want to end illegal immigration, Huckabee is the ONLY candidate to SIGN (not just talk) a pledge to secure our borders. THis election in Nov is going to come down to personality and Huckabee is the only one with a likeability to draw in those old independants and Reagen Democrats.

Will he build the wall?

People who care about illegal immigration should vote for Duncan Hunter.

I’m sure he signed the pledge to end illegal immigration - right after he signed the pledge to allow their kids to first go to university on the taxpayer’s dime, like he wanted them to be able to do down in Arkansas.

Huckabee vows to send all illegal aliens home

That would be great. Too bad I don't believe anything that comes out of the Hucksters mouth.

I’m sick of promises and the Huckster can make all the promises he wants, it still won’t erase his past.

This plan sounds great on the surface, but how in the world would he actually send all the illegals home? How would you find them? Do local communities have the police resources to remove individuals from their homes, incarcerate them until the paperwork to deport is drawn up (a bureaucratic nightmare) then physically send them home. And how do we get them home? Are we going to use military transports? And where do we send them? To each individual country?

Huck’s signature doesnt mean a thing. Just like he said he decided not to show a negative ad only to show it immediately afterward. Would he send them to college first? And just how does he propose he will do this? Has he given a detailed plan of how he will end it? And will he close down his Mexican consulate pet project?

And Hunter is the only candidate who has actually done something about it - ie build the fence in San Diego.

Huckabee, no matter his lyng lips/pen now, has been a longtime supporter of illegal aliens in his entire political career. Has Tyson Chicken donated to Huckabee’s campaign ? Why, I believe that’s a yes.

"and they say Romney FLIP FLOPS."

Romney is the "Straight Talk Express" compared to Huckabee. If this was not so pathetic, it would be funny.

Will he push to have the Mexican consulate that he had built in Arkansas changed over to a building to house the extra INS agents that we’ll need?

HUH????????
Have you heard about Fred Thompson? He’s running too you know, and this ole Reagan Democrat (and its Reagan not Reagen) is excited about Thompson and turned off by Huckabee.
