I wish I knew M1.2 wasn’t supersonic. That would have gotten me out of trouble when I was in an F-111 that went...uh...TRANSONIC...in the wrong area!

Give him the benefit of the doubt!

Maybe he just didn’t know what the word “is” means. As in Mach 1.2 “is” supersonic.

Yea, that reply was a charm wasn’t it?

And then we get a lecture about what the “transonic” range is. Maybe someone should explain to him a “red herring.”
