CALLER: He exudes the most powerful morality I have seen in any candidate.
RUSH: So you have no doubts he would never cheat on his wife?
CALLER: That is correct.
RUSH: This is fascinating. Ruth, I can't thank you enough.
CALLER: I thank you, Rush, and just keep up the wonderful work. My husband and I listen to you every day, and we love you, and just keep that faith, because there are Republican conservatives out there who will prove who the true candidate will be, and I believe it will be Romney.
RUSH: We'll see. I'm glad you called, Ruth.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: We have decided to come up with a name for you babes who are smitten with Mitt Romney, first of many, but this works: Mittens. We're going to refer to you as Mittens.

RUSH: So you have no doubts he would never cheat on his wife?
CALLER: That is correct.
That kind of came out of the blue....
smitten mittens
Anyway, I don't think he is the only candidate who wouldn't cheat on his wife.
Don't get me wrong, I personally think a private cheater is a public cheater. I just think we have to have one standard and the people have spoken. They don't care about nasty or immoral or cheating private lives. Welcome to the new Gomorrah.
I think that was because Rush was contrasting these ladies’ more “pure” enthusiasm for Romney, with that of the women who went gaga over Clinton.
If the opponent is likely going to be a Clinton what else would a host ask?
Mormons have a very honest and moral image. The Mormon image as perceived by most Americans is based on the image of Donny and Marie Osmond. That is one squeeky clean image.
That is why Mitt won half the religious right votes in Michigan.
I think “Mitten” is quite appropriate since Romney is from Michigan. You should flip your little mitten over so that the thumb is to the east! ;)
As a CATHOLIC and regarding Mr. Romney, it’s the ENTIRE package — success in family, business and government.
Is it morality to say that the boy scouts should allow gay leaders?
Is it morality to compromise your principals and stand by seeking only the ‘status quo’ on abortion?
Is it morality to appoint ‘moderate’ judges because they are easier to get approved?
Is it morality to look at the cmaera and America and lie about what your own ads say?
Is it morality rail against ‘sanctuary cities’ while sitting idly by for you entire term doing nothing about the 4 cities within your own state claiming sanctuary status?
Is it morality to force American citizens into a madatory health care plan supported by government dollars, overseen by government beaurocrats, and imposing fines one those who think your system reeks of socialism?
Please ... tell me about his morality as it relates to public policy.
I agree, and I’m an OHIOan. :-)
Well, we know that Rudy, McCain and maybe Fred have all cheated on their wives. I have no idea what caused Fred’s first marriage to break up. Probably just because it was a teenage marriage.
Sucess in Family during these trying times, says a lot for Mitt... Good deal.
I’ll vote for a pair of Choppers...Hunter/Duncan 2008!
I know Rudy cheated. I know the other two are divorced and remarried. I don’t know about cheating.
Reagan was divorced and remarried.
The GOP candidate needs to be attractive to the swing-voting married women (single women go with the Dem regardless).
But, adultry was not an issue. Divorce and remarriage is not quite the same.
