Former Bush adviser Karl Rove slammed Sen. Hillary Clinton's, D-N.Y., performance in the Michigan primary during a Wednesday speech to the Republican National Committee in Washington, D.C.
"I want you to look at the results of last nights primary in Michigan," said Rove. "Sen. Clintons name was on the ballot and none of her principal opponents were. Fifty-five percent of the people turned out and voted for her. She got 328,151 votes, but 236,723 people turned out for the Democratic primary to vote for 'uncommitted'."
"Think about that," Rove continued. "If you run against nobody, and nobody gets 40 percent of the vote. The other 5 percent of the vote went for three other people. 27,924 votes went for the guy who believes in UFOs, the guy who dropped out, and the guy who last held public office somewhere around 1855. Thats a pretty remarkable testament to the deep concerns the Democrats have about Senator Clinton when she cant barely beat nobody else."
The three unnamed Democrats alluded to by Rove as having picked up five percent of the vote against Clinton are Dennis Kucinich, the Ohio congressman who confirmed at an October debate that he has seen some kind of unidentified flying object, Chris Dodd, the Connecticut senator who dropped out of the presidential race after the Michigan ballot was printed, and Mike Gravel, who represented Alaska in the U.S. Senate from 1969-81.

Haha. Too funny. It’s too bad Rove will likely be done with government after this administration is over.
She beat my neighbor as well. Too bad he wasn’t on the ballot.
Haven't been watching - but surely she must've spun this as a great victory?
ROFLMAO!
I think he’s done already. But I would think he’s making tons more money as a campaign consultant than he did in the White House. If so he’s still working to elect the right kinds of candidates.
I’ll not be one to question the wisdom or the words of Mr Rove but in my book killing is beating.

Rove “The Magic Texan” didn’t seem to do to well at keeping the GOP congress as majority in 2006. He is and was overrated.
I haven’t seen ANY poll numbers for the Dems in the upcoming primaries. Does anybody have any?
Thanks.
Right On.
That's nobody.

She could beat dead people and her campaign would say it’s a great victory...
More credit for the loss of control goes to Mark Foley, Duke Cunningham, the GOP earmarkers, Losertarian candidates, the MSM (think macaca) and, IMHO, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham (for their months and months of GOP bashing). Even then, control of the House and Senate was lost on about 85,000 votes out of over 20 million cast, IIRC. Just a thought...
What you view as bashing, many of us view as warning shots to GOP to change their drunken ways. Out of control spending, Harriet Miers, Open Borders and of course the curuption that you mentioned. etc.
Drunk on their own power, they did seem to listen and thats what happens.
Just my thoughts.
I love it. the RATS were determined to get Rove out of the WH. and he is...so now he can go on TV anytime he wants with some of the best one liner characterizations of the RATS imaginable. A classic case of be careful what you wish for.
