Grrr...
(PING)
Indeed!! (Maybe a Democrat lawyer politician?)
So says Eleanor Roosevelt's UN Declaration of Human Rights. The document does not have a fiscal note attached.
He’s going to jack up taxes to pay for that.
greedy doctors ??????????????
what if all the doctors took their football and went home.
Lost me on the very first “principle.” Food and shelter are not basic human RIGHTS. Neither is medical care.
Suppose, hypothetically, there were no physicians, nurses, etc. (or that, more realistically, the number OF them were about 10% of what reasonable care required for a given population). Then what? Would The Government *conscript* people into serving as doctors, at a slave wage? We may be headed in that direction in a few decades.
Yep, a brand new "entitlement" with costs going up exponentially each year.
NM has lost a lot of good health care professionals due to insurance issues, especially costs for malpractice insurance. When you have to pay more to work in your profession than you receive in income, you go elsewhere.
Which can only be had by the free market system.
The present mess is the direct result of direct government intervention starting in 1964, and that is when health car became disconnected from free market principles and began spiraling out of control.
The solution is less government or no government intervention, not more.
>Health care is a basic human right. - No, it is not.
>Universal health care is doable this year and it won’t break the bank. No, it isn’t and yes, it will.
>Physicians are too greedy and need to give a little.
Sure fire plan for no doctors except the lowest common denominator
>A so-called single-payer system is out of the question.
Any government plan is out of the question.
Richardson is little more then a Clinton lap dog.
A real big thinker there ya know.
What drives up healthcare costs are not doctors' fees, but hospitalization, treatments, medications--
Then students to medical school will be political appointments. Prepare to die.
No it is not. Health care is about choices. Choices that will be restricted or taken away by government mandated health care.
* Universal health care is doable this year and it won't break the bank.
Of course it will break your bank. It has everywhere else it is tried.
* Physicians are too greedy and need to give a little.
Wage and price controls destroy the market place and quality. KMart health care is quackery.
* A so-called single-payer system is out of the question.
Which means that I have to grease the palms of my buddies in large health care coporations to ram this through.
I watched my physician sister eat ramen noodles for about 10 years to finally have an opportunity to make a decent living.
I’m sick and tired of these panderers demonizing people who work really hard to make something of themselves and whose dedication to excellence make all of our lives better.
People who simply flap their gums for a living are the greedy ones.
Health care is a basic human right.
And which amendment to our Constitution might this be, hhhhmmmm????
case in point......I had an issue w/ my hands
sorta like slow healing broken skin sores..........thought the worst, went to a memorial hospital..........turns out a golf glove from China which advertised it was washable , well........it had a residue that broke my skin out.....
the cure ?.............1% hydrocortisone.....3.99
on the shelf...............
hospital bill ?
1000 dollars
No it's not. It's a service offered for sale.
