Aids was a mostly voluntary disease acquired through behavioral choices. Staph infections are something else.
I read that 90,000 + people die from staph infections (excluding this new superbug) picked up in American hospitals each year. More than die from auto accidents or gunshots.
Amazing how many people are willing to take a chance on illness or death over sex.
That’s what bothers me: The contagion is being driven by a certain vector, but is not dependent on the same vector. A societal behavior risks an entire population, not just the subculture it comes from.
Why is it we must be tolerant of this, again? It is getting harder and harder to explain...
