This whole story may sound almost silly because it is so ludicrous, but it should strike fear in a sane person's heart.

Britain is now a totalitarian police state. It’s subjects are liable to be imprisoned for the most ridiculous acts. The people who pass such laws with such cruel penalties are simply mad dogs. Only a degraded and cowardly populace would tolerate for even a second such injustice.

You would think that there were no other crimes in London. Why are the bureaucrats spending time on this?

First they came for the guns. Then they came for the scales...

The function of government is to govern. Right or wrong, logical or not, bureaucrats will justify their existence and their paycheck. It may be a while still, but a time will come when we start over.

Our ancestors left Europe long ago for a reason. Our nation’s founders revolted against that system long ago.

There was once upon a time that rational men said NO to such red tape adn thoughtcrime.

Well, what do you expect from a nation that used to send out patrols to spy on whether people were watching televisions and hadn’t paid for the privilege. Place is a bureaucratic nightmare.

"£70,000"

Isn't that 70,000 POUNDS???

Their money is illegal. If you are in Europe, send me all your "£" money before you are arrested!

Some lyrics from The Clash are most apropos:

When they kick at your front door how ya gonna come,
with your hands on your head or on the trigger of your gun?

When the law break in how ya gonna go, shot down on the pavement or waiting in death row?

(From “Guns of Brixton” written and sung by Paul Simonon)

To mention non-metric measures in any context whatsoever will become illegal. It will even become a criminal offence for McDonald's to sell a "quarterpounder".

Vincent Vega: You know what they call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?

Jules Winnfield: They don't call it a Quarter Pounder with Cheese?

Vincent Vega: No, man, they got the metric system, they don't know what the **** a Quarter Pounder is. As a matter of fact, I had a contract with the EU to shoot any ********** who called it a Quarter Pounder.

I wonder if they would ever allow a Pink Floyd re-union to fly a big pink pig over the crowd like they used to do.

This is the difference between being a "subject" and a "citizen".
