When I listen to Schorr I play a game I like to call, “When is this going to turn into a Watergate rememberance?”
I wonder if he was on Clintons enemies list?
OOPS
Sorry
He couldnt be!
Everybody on that list is dead.
Crank, indeed.
>>>>hopelessly out of touch..... “When policy drives intelligence, the chances are, both will suffer.”
He’s not merely “out of touch,” he’s senile.
As exemplified by his romantic belief that the malevolent sissies at the State Dept. and CIA are “driven by policy” when in act they are driven by politics and specifically by the virulent Bush Derangement Syndrome that’s infected both agencies.
Daniel Schorr represents the very worst of Big Dino, Gatekeeper, Beltway Insider media. He’s nothing more than an transparent and institutional propagandist.
Daniel SNORE....represents the very worst of Big Dino, Gatekeeper, Beltway Insider media. Hes nothing more than an transparent and institutional propagandist.
Schorr does tell a couple funny stories from those day.
When his name showed up on the Nixon White House enemies list the initial explanation was that he was being investigated they were considering him for a job in the administration. Of course, noboby believed that.
Years later in New York City, around 1990 or so, Schorr runs into Richard Nixon at a function and says hello.
Nixon responds, "Schorr! Damn near hired you once!"
When he was on he was public enemy nu 1 for us. I thought at the time that he was to biased even for the scum at CBS so they got rid of him. Why is it that only the good die young.
Or worse.
A self deluded true believer.
Many of the old communist are.
The worst thing about Dan is he is looked up to as an example by the old men who dominate SeeBS News.
I live far enough out that powerlines along the highways often block weak, urban, AM talk radio signals, so I often listen to (and argue with) National Public Radio when driving to work, so I occasionaly hear old Schorr mushing out his insights. Wish he’d let someone younger, like Paul Harvey, read his “insights” into the microphones. He’s hard to understand, and painful to hear; no better than the mumbly commercials that the old jazz piano lady, Marian McPartland, does for her shows.
I heard the fat old fart for the first time in a couple of years just last week. He is slurring his words noticeably compared to two years ago.
Like I said; self deluded Communist;)
Two coolaid drinkers congratulating each other on their new typewriter ribbons...
“When policy drives intelligence, the chances are, both will suffer.”
Ask the Pentagon analyst just canned.
Wotta DinoSchorr.
