McCain was booed by a crowd while he was giving his thoughts on illegals what we should do with illegal immigrants. McCain contended there are “various things” we could do depending on how long the illegal has been here and what their “record” has been.

IF Mitt or Fred can use this video, they should--it'll take McCain out faster than Ted Kennedy can down a scotch.

Actually, I worry more about those more “sophisticated” Dem voters who would love nothing more than to meddle in our nomination: college profs, people working at non-profits, party activists, etc.

But, yes, I hope at least this diminishes their ability to scrape up voters willing to do their bidding for a pack of cigs.

FWIW, I think all primaries oughta be open. Party means jack anymore. And before anyone hops down my throat, I'm a former five-alarm flaming lib who's been voting Pubbie/Conservative/Right to Life for the last ten years or so.

So who would conservatives rather have voting in a Republican primary? Folks like me or bleeping RINOs?

(/rant)

There, I feel better now :)

If you’re a registered Democrat, I don’t think you should be able to vote in a Republican primary.

Ah, but I could in an open primary, which is why I was making the argument for them :)

The Republican party needs some rules changes, obviously.

Well, as I've been saying incessantly, we don't need a third party. We need a second one.

A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice.

He is pulling this guano again of "I am not going to call up a soldier's mother and deport her". Slick soundbite ginned up in a PR room somewhere.

This guy is so full of la mierda.

I think somebody who had a loved one killed by an multi-deported illegal--one of literally thousands--should get up and challenge him on national TV about why the murderer of her son or daughter was not deported and the fence built. THEN watch him wiggle.

Pathetic.

It is distressing that McCain is one of the front runners for the Republican nomination as our candidate.

If he or Romney gets the nod, you can say Hello to President Hillary or President Obama in November.

IF Mitt or Fred can use this video, they should--it'll take McCain out faster than Ted Kennedy can down a scotch.

You see, that would probably be characterized as a personal attack.

I think it's a perfect example of McCain's thought process...straight from his own mouth and another perfect example of what people think of it.

And what's with this lame-McCain response about American soldiers in Iraq having to worry about their mothers being deported?
Is that a prevalent scenario?
Is there even one case??
