I'd hold my breath for the NYT's retraction I'd settle for a letter to the editor debunking their shoddy methodology.
To: Impeach98
A reasonably competent college sophomore would probably have asked this question, "How does the rate of homicides and fatal auto accidents among veterans compare to those among the civilian population?" And with seven (count 'em, seven!) researchers on the story, the
Times would have had that answer instantaneously.
But that would have led to a story entitled, "Veterans Less Likely to Kill after Returning from War Service." And that story contradicts the hard-wired anti-military bias of the publisher and editors of the Times.
There is no salvation for a paper this bigoted, this journalisticly incompetent. We must, therefore, wait for it to fail utterly and to be bought up by a more successful media outlet.

Latest article, "License? We Don't Need No Steenkin' License!"
A Freeper in Congress? act now.

You are barking up the wrong tree. The Times has a high proportion of male homosexuals on their staff. So, they don’t have wives to beat. However, that group has a high level of “abuse of partners,” drugs and alcohol use. LOL.

I think Winds of Change busted it out of the box as well... one of the milblogs, it was beautiful. We have to make sure it gets out.

The maggot infested gay mafia which controls the NY Slimes from the top down, did the same thing with our Nam Vets.
Now they can’t get by with sliming and lying about our WOT vets.

“If one accepts the premise of the article, that combat experience somehow leads to homicide, the late 1940s when the WWII vets returned would have had to have been an extraordinarily violent era as there were many times the number of young combat vets on the streets then as opposed to now.”
_____________________________________________________________________
I remember in “Up Front with Bill Mauldin” the “Willie & Joe” creator’s first collection published while the war was still on, he got good and worked up in one essay after reading stateside editorials postulating that the streets and booby-hatches would soon be filled with shell-shocked veterans stuck in kill mode. He made it clear that an aversion to casual brawling was the mark of a soldier who had actually BEEN in combat.

Although, it does seem that the very first generation of outlaw bikers in the late forties were supposed to be disaffected WWII vets. Or at least that’s how they liked to see themselves...

The Press is forever immune under our Constitution......and I'm not about to change the Constitution. But not a cent of mine goes to any paper that prints false and seditious articles or any other paper that runs articles from their newswire. Advertisers be aware.
(Same goes for Hollywood.)
