The Mitfords and others who admired Hitler were not evil, nor were the politicians who supported appeasement. But they allowed the evil to grow and grow and grow.
I agree that if a Hitler takes over America, that more drastic ways of doing things would be allowed.
In the real world of America today, however, I do not support that. In fact, stifling speech is how totalitarianism takes over.
