Why? Are only lawyers “allowed” to state their opinions and cite case law concerning free speech?

In your opinion, does the first amendment protect the Phelps family when they go protest military funerals?

Please don’t feel like I’m putting you on the spot, I’m just curious what the difference is and how you and other folks view it.

Whew, that’s a relief!

Of course any one can state their opinions on the law.

But you are so wrong in your understanding of how constitutional law works that I was sincerely hoping that you weren’t a lawyer. That would be sad.
