MIAMI, Jan. 13 /Christian Newswire/ -- Rudy Giuliani was rattled by pro-life advocates and canceled his speech at his first bus-tour event Sunday in Miami. Activists have planned confrontations with Rudy for every stop of his Florida bus tour. Photos available online.
On Sunday, Jan. 13, at approximately 12:15 PM, pro-life activists were in the crowd at The Green Street Cafe (located at 3110 Commodor Plaza, Coconut Grove Florida, just outside Miami) waiting for Giuliani to begin his Florida Bus Tour.
When Rudy Giuliani arrived, Joseph Landry (age 26) was within 5 feet of the candidate, and began yelling: You are a baby killer! You are a baby killer! Florida is pro-life! Rudy wants public funding for abortion!" See news report.
Law enforcement officials immediately escorted Mr. Landry from the area, while Mr. Landry continued his monologue.
Within Minutes, Steven Pokorny, age 28, stood to his feet and cried out, "A third of my generation is dead because of politicians like Giuliani! Giuliani wants to kill children and have you pay for it!" Law enforcement did not stop Mr. Pokorny.
At that point, Giuliani left the building, without addressing the crowd.
Mr. Pokorny was able to follow Mr. Giuliani for more than a minute, yelling out about Rudy's pro-choice, pro-homosexual agenda. Again, Mr. Pokorny was not interrupted by police.
Giuliani officials had no idea how many pro-lifers were in the crowd, and how many more times Giuliani would be confronted. This might explain why Mr. Giuliani did not make any remarks - and left the meeting without addressing supporters
He is on a firetruck, and was, throughout the parade.

And because he’s a politician, he does not get special rights to speak in public.

Rudy does not have special protections which afford him extra special rights of speech.
The Founding Fathers put into place the Bill of Rights so that the PEOPLE have the right to speak out....most especially against those who are politicians....the Bill of Rights weren’t put into place to PROTECT politicians FROM the people.

It's a parade. He's not preparing to speak.
Yet that topic has been given NO TIME in the last two debates (luckily for Rudy)!! Go figure.
Look at the picture again. The bullhorn was allegedly 5 feet from him. It made it impossible for him to speak to his supporters.
You are setting a precedent. Eventually you will have a candidate that wishes to address his supporters; in which case an opposition group will feel free and obliged to interrupt him. How about Code Pink?
Further, if Rudy is such a flawed candidate why are his detractors so intent on silencing him? The answer is simple—they fear some might actually listen to him.

All of the folks on this thread crying out for Poor Widdle Wooty should think about what he would do when confronted with the rest of his miserable record by the Hillary or Obama clan. What kind of leader tucks his tail and runs?
Fine. But don’t react to people who disagree with your assessment that their views somehow constitute Marxism.
I could care less if Rudy gets to talk to a crowd. I am concerned that ill-advised protests will set back the cause of life.
Do you join me in that concern? I realize in this instance you and I disagree on what constitutes an ill-advised protest, but as a matter of principle, are you also against ill-advised protests?
And could you possibly refrain from YELLING? Sort of like the problem some of us have with the protests under discussion-—some can’t help but become rude at the drop of a hat.

However, are you extrapolating from this fact that God approves of these exact protests today? Or do you think there may be room for discussion about how to advance the cause of the unborn?

Your comment to me, out of the box, was in my response to being told by someone later banned that First Amendment rights did not “allow” protests such as this....which you then tried to twist into something altogether different than to what started the entire discussion.
I hardly think that three words, in all caps, sprinkled about my numerous posts constitutes YELLING.
If folks like Giuliani or Huckaby were to get the overall nod, i would be convinced that it is time to move on.
I once supported Richard Nixon. Four year later I thought Gerald Ford deserved my support. Those were my last two deliberate liberals. When a liberal wins the nomination, I will take a hike saying I didn’t leave the party, the party left me.
