RAMAPO, N.Y. (CBS) ― Police arrested a 26-year-old woman Friday, claiming she abused her 7-year-old son by sticking him in the oven and turning it on as a form of punishment.
The arrest stems from two separate incidents in 2007 when the child appeared to have suffered numerous injuries.
The first incident occurred last July when the boy arrived at a daycare center where police say owner Joelle Lherisson noticed the boy had burns to his arm, hand, nose, and left leg. Lherisson, 37, however, failed to report the boy's condition to Child Protective Services or police, as required by law, and the boy was returned home to his mother, Tiffany Fraser.
Police say the second incident occurred just four months later in November, when a woman found the same boy by himself at an area market. When police arrived, the boy told officers that he ran away from home and didn't want to return.
The boy, who still had burns on him, claimed his mother punished him by shoving him inside their oven.
"The mother had threatened to place him in the oven, and in fact did do that," said Ramapo Dt. Lt. Brad Weidel.

An eye for an eye.
That poor little boy!
Thank God they got to him before she managed to kill him.
Hopefully he will manage to have a somewhat normal life now that he doesn’t have to live with that witch.
The so called " mother ".
looks like Al Sharpton in drag.
“Hopefully he will manage to have a somewhat normal life now that he doesnt have to live with that witch.”
Mother will be out in a short time and the courts will send the kid back to her...happens all of the time...judges know what’s best. (s)
Wolves have more parenting skills than some people these days.
This is why we need a Mandatory Sterilization Act.
Good, I wondered what happened to this dreg that put money over the safety of a child
"There was nothing wrong with the child," she said.
No problem: let's stick you in a oven and you explain that there is nothing wrong with the burns you get.
Let’s put her in an incinerator instead of the oven.
