I remember how terrified I was of McCain in ‘99.

And then Bush took SC and all was right with the world.

But so many contenders this time messes up the mix.

I am working under the notion that there is no way to call a real front-runner in the Republican party until after all the Florida votes are cast and counted. And depending on how that turns out, maybe not until after Super-Dooper !!!!!!!!!! Tuesday.

As much as the media poobahs want all the candidates to play the game the way the poobahs want it played, until all the big names have been tested and either stay in or drop out, these first few races are like spring-training games.

It is, after all, 7 months before the convention and 10 months before the actual general election. Only the 85% liberal media and the professional political hacks need to have everybody's nerves on edge.

CNN just did a campaign update from Nevada. No mention of the (Hillary) lawsuit.

Now, that’s just downright bad reporting. The lawsuit is a major factor in that race. CNN emphasized Hillary going after Hispanics, but failed to explain why. She’s going to lose a big share of the union vote AND the black vote. She has no alternative but to draw in the Latinos.

CNN would be silly not to take advantage of FNC’s missteps—or mistrudging, so heavy-footed is their rolling over their ‘base’ this campaign season.

Jeez... when are the Democrats going to learn?

Trying to up the lower working class with wage increases only serves to stoke inflation of the goods they need, and three years later we’re back to where we started.

The only person I know of that had the gall to say what the Democrats really want was Huey Long. He wanted to turn the government into Robin Hood, levy property taxes, asset taxes and income caps through progressive taxation on the wealthy and pass that money in the form of welfare checks down to the poor. I think Nader has suggested the same idea although not so extreme— wealth redistribution. The idea is that there is only a limited amount of monetary value in the universe (there is some, although not complete, truth in that statement) it would keep the money supply the same and not affect inflation.

Of course, trying to steal other people’s money, even if it is for the supposed “greater good,” is not only morally wrong, it’s very difficult and promotes fraud.

I doubt that Fred is interested at all in being ANYONE’s VP.

You're absolutely correct! My fear is that the writer's strike will end before the Republican convention. If Fred does not catch fire, I'm afraid he'll return to the lucrative role of DA Arthur Branch.

And I wouldn't blame him a bit.

Between us, when they exchanged not reporting Saddam’s atrocities for a news spot in Iraq and then the sniper video (along with things like equating Christians to Jihadist series), I had it.

I only watch when I have to.

Long a national anomaly with its one-state recession

They're not the only ones... take away New York City and upstate New York (and much of northern Pennsylvania) is in just as bad of a shape as Michigan, if not worse. No coincidence that Democrats now run all of those states.

Who’s wise idea was it to start this so early at a time of war anyway? Who started it?

Huck is far slicker than I have imagined! He has to have taken very close notes and tutoring from his mentor Bubba.

I cringe every time he invokes the Reagan name and just know that RR is turning over rapidly.

Huck seldom answers direct questions instead brings up untruths against others that by the time they are checked out its too late.

Really slick.

Cheney. He didn’t want to run for President, never did, and so there were no incumbents. The moment the 2006 election was over, everyone rushed to fill the void.

I believe Hillary was one of the first, but everyone knew she was running anyway.

No coincidence Huckabee has gone last on both shows this week, and I believe he went last on MTP as well.

Always get the last word. Even if you’re lying they won’t call you on it.
