According to polling data McCain is wining in SC and FLA. McCain can win the nomination. A lot of old style Establishment Republicans are being seduced by McCain's Cult of Personality campaign and fraudulent posturing on Iraq.

McCainiacs are running around dishonestly assigning credit for The Surge strategy to McCain. McCain had nothing to do with the Surge. His plan was the Baker Commission and Americanizing the war. The Baker Commission was a creature of John McCain and Senate Republicans. It was the price they demanded of Bush for continuing to fund the war in 2006.

This current posturing is merely a cheap political ploy for McCain to flop once again on Iraq and be on the winning side.

McCain position on Iraq blows with the polling data inside the GOP. 1st he is for it, then he is for it but the execution was all wrong. Then we needed “250,000 more boots on the ground”, then the war needs a political solution since it was militarily unwindable now the Surge is working and he is trying, fraudulently, to claim it was his idea.

God save the Republic! If the GOP runs McCain color this life long Conservative activist on the bench for 2008

Yeah we really do think alike!
McCain is a scary dude, what is so ironic is that he is dumb enough to cozy up to the DBM,(huge egos will do that)
thinking they actually like him and just stays with them until they roll him over the edge.

timmy is very deferential and intimidated by her...she definitely has controlled this whole interview.she is even patronizing to Timmy...

Does anyone notice that there is a whine, or loudness or something to her voice that it is very annoying to listen to her? It is the same kind of thing al gore has...what is it about her voice?

I just can’t stand her arrogance, that annoying patronizing and angry attitude.

Good morning, Sir.

Yes, I’m sure all the important questions will be asked:

1. Would you build the fence on the border through executive order if that’s what it took?

2. Will you work to rid us of the McCain Feingold unconstitutional law?

3. Will you preserve our freedom to our privately acquired Health Insurance?

It’s the best damn wire I’ve ever seen—perfectly color matched to her skin, but it glistens when it catches the light. It catches the light best when she is in closeup with her head turned to Russert and especially when she moves her head up and down.

****** CNN Arrogance! ‘Crime Stories’ Promo With Picture of Sen. Mitch McConnell.

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2008/01/08/cnn-crime-stories-promo-includes-picture-sen-mitch-mcconnell

On Monday, the “most trusted name in news” ran an advertisement for its Headline News program “Nancy Grace” dealing with “incredible crime stories” this fall.

In the fast-moving montage, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-Kent.) picture was spliced in between what appears to be convicted dog abuser Michael Vick and missing Bolingbrook, Illinois, resident Stacy Peterson. A picture of her husband Drew, who is implicated in her disappearance, followed, with a final shot of OJ Simpson.

Update 15:00. NewsBusters has been informed that after a number of CNN producers were sent our article on this subject, a senior CNN official contacted McConnell’s office to apologize for the incident.

Apparently, the ad is being immediately pulled, and a full internal investigation is being launched concerning the matter.

NewsBusters appreciates this decision by CNN, and is very interested in the outcome of said investigation.

#####

For people keeping track, add this event to the list of CNN hit jobs on Republican officials.

After a few races I can see where McCain can gain popularity. But it’s a false support, IMHO. The media and the McCain camp can claim anything they want but the majority of conservatives won’t buy it.
