Even though a federal agent investigating former Fresno County sheriff's Sgt. Ron Vaughn Jr. for possession of child pornography made "serious mistakes" in his search warrant affidavit, the errors were not intentional and not meant to mislead a federal magistrate, a judge ruled Friday.

"During the hearing, Prado testified that in his haste to write the affidavit, he mistakenly asserted that Vaughn possessed child pornography but meant to say it was only his opinion."
