“So you don’t respect her choice to support a real conservative candidate because it isn’t YOUR conservative guy?”

No, not at all. If Hunter was pulling in delegates and coming in third (with some momemntum behind him), I’d probably be there with her saying “Go Duncan!”. But when the reality hits of Hunter polling 1% or less and zero name recognition outside of FReepers, I have to turn to Fred. He’s got some delegates, and if he can hold on, maybe gain in the South and West. Duncan’s not doing this.

It’s admirable to take a stand, but while we conservatives do so and dilute any effectiveness we might have, a Romney or Huck will waltz in the front door.

What you seem to be advocating is that she (and I) toss aside our morally and politically conservative convictions in favor of political expediency, and at the same time toss aside an honorable man who we have publicly committed ourselves to.

Sorry, friend. I haven’t come to this decision lightly, and I don’t intend to bail on Duncan Hunter any time soon.

Seems to me that all this “settling” for a perception is how we got into this mess in the first place.

As long as Duncan Hunter is running for President, I will support him!
