Freeper help needed-I want to buy a .45 auto

I was in a gun shop the other day, and was drooling over the .45 autos. I've decided to buy one, so I'm going to the best information source ANYWHERE! FREEPERS!
Any and all advice appreciated...thanks!

Kind of vague. Do you want a 1911? Full size or compact? Any semi that shoots a .45 auto? What price range? Narrow it down a little.
