The Kenya Connection
NY Sun ^ | 1/10/2008 | Daniel Johnson

As he reminded us again after losing narrowly to Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire, Barack Obama likes to evoke Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech.

We must all hope that, like King's, Mr. Obama's dream is "deeply rooted in the American dream." But before giving him the keys to the White House, Americans might like to know a little more about the content of Mr. Obama's dream.

Let me propose an unlikely place to start looking: Kenya. Even in the midst of the primaries, the horrific scenes from that country since the disputed election on December 27 will not have escaped most people. In particular, the burning of a church with up to 50 men, women, and children inside, while machete-armed mobs slaughter up to 600 more people, have evoked memories of the Rwandan genocide of 1994.

Who is behind these massacres? The opposition leader, Raila Odinga, has had a good press in the West, after he accused the president, Mwai Kibaki, of rigging the election. But the victims of the recent violence have mostly been members of Mr. Kibaki's tribe, the Kikuyu, while those who have gone berserk are supporters of Mr. Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement, which is dominated by the rival Luo tribe.

"Indeed, the connection may be even closer than a tribal one. Mr. Odinga even claims that Mr. Obama is his cousin, because the senator's father was Mr. Odinga's maternal uncle. Whether or not this true, the two men are friends and political allies."

The commenters in the Sun article are saying this is incorrect.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yeah I know. But go figure. Obama's dad is said to have fathered up to 8 illegitimate children, so only a DNA test will show for sure, and thats if the mom is still around, which I believe she is.

I'll believe Odinga until Obama denies it, then we look for the blue dress? LOL.

I wonder why the commentators are being so quick to distance the Odinga-Obama cousinhood. I can't think of any reason why they should not be celebrating it.................................unless it constitutes an achilles heel of some sort. Can't imagine what that would be.

Odinga is not a black sheep in the family, he is after all fighting a "corrupt" Kenyan government, and had a perfectly good , honest election stolen from him, according to the camp.

LOL.

“The voters do not want to know,” seems to be the MSM policy on the issue.

In the current national poll, just 19.6% of those surveyed could say they believe all or most news media reporting. This is down from 27.4% in 2003.

Just under one-quarter, 23.9%, in 2007 said they believe little or none of reporting while 55.3% suggested they believe some media news reporting.

“...For years, Kenya has been subjected to creeping Islamisation and jihadi violence by elements within the country’s ten per cent Muslims against the Christian majority. Yet unaccountably there was no mention of this key fact in the media coverage of the post-election violence. Well, fancy!

In the Christian Post, this article, (which was picked up by Stephen Pollard) written before the disputed election which led to the violence, put events in a rather more accurate context. Raila Odinga, it said, who was then the current presidential frontrunner, had promised to implement strict Islamic Sharia law if he received the Muslim vote and was elected president. Odinga had signed a secret memorandum of understanding with Sheikh Abdullahi Abdi, chairman of the National Leaders Forum, in which Odinga had allegedly stated his intention, if elected, to

‘within six months, rewrite the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Sharia as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions’. ...”

Well we are doing the Lord's work for 55% then. The MSM hits their other wingnutters.

If we can get 55% of the popular vote, then we might luck out in November.

Got to be optomistic.

That 19 percent is the hard core plus the media themselves.

Even liberals, when pressed, will admit that the media is bad.

The few things the media might get close is the sport scores. Even there...

The papers and other outlets are hurting themselves by their Dixie Chicks business plan.

Besides the mediots using their Dixie Chick marketing strategy, one of their most sinister actions the past 4-6 decades is spiking dangerous news when their liberal icons are involved.

Spiking dangerous news about their liberal icons can/could be very bad for America.

The good news in today’s world, is “They can’t get by with Spiking their bad news anymore!”.

“You know what they say about opinions.”

yeah, that to be worth anything, an opinion needs to be backed up with reasoning. For example, I do not believe that a Muslim is supposed to name their kid after an atheist (Castro).

...Pioneering American campaign techniques in Kenya >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

WTF is the difference between this and colonialism?

Using liberal socialist AMERICAN COLONIALIST spin techniques to manipulate the "savages" who don't REALLY KNOW how black power works like it does in AMERICA?: Neocolonialist Western Politician: "Your government is corrupt!!!!!!!!!

Kenyan Luo masses:".....Booooooyah!"

Neocolonialist Western Politician: "Bush, errr thats Kibaki, stole your election"

"Savage" Kenyan Luo Assembly: ..................."Mizuru!Booooooooooyah!"

Neocolonialist Western Politician: "You must take to the streets and protest"

"Savage" Kenyan Luo Assembly: ..................."Mizuru!Booooooooooyah! Allah Akbhar!, Panga, panga etc." and so on into the streets eventually to burn a church full of Christian Kenyans and murder and maim Kikuyus who are Christians.

Thats the dynamic. Obama is no better than all the other colonialists before him.

Obama is fact a Liberal fascist.

He pretends to the presidency of the United States ? Right. Not if I can help it. I will not go quietly into that dark.
