It’s a battle between two compassionate conservatives until South Carolina. Those that believe in environmentalism, illegal immigration, federal social programs, and government regulation.

Rush does very little research apparently. McCain has not been consistent on the life issue.

Sheesh, McCain will say anything, no matter how stupid. I should have known something was up when I saw a pic of McCain rally on Drudge the other day and, sure enough, there was a guy standing right behind holding a big sign that with “Stop Global Warming” on it.

I know tons of evangelicals, and while they do believe in their stewardship of the earth responsibility, it has more to do with not polluting. Most everybody I know thinks that yes, there is a recent warming trend, but human activity has nothing to do with it.

In addition to his “biblical obligation to be good stewards of our planet,” McCain today started going populist based on Judeo-Christian values. It’s pathetically transparent what he’s trying to do. I simply cannot believe that Christians would be so stupid as to fall for it.

When McCain thumps the Bible... it just doesn’t look natural, you know?

This makes sense, both Huckabee and McCain are far left liberals.

McCain will probably offer Huck the last position Huck considered in the NYT's piece:

‘‘If you aren’t for some reason elected president, what cabinet position would you be suited for?’’ I asked. Huckabee paused, considering. ‘‘Secretary of health and human services would be one,’’ he said. ‘‘Secretary of transportation, or the interior.’’ Perhaps aware that this wasn’t a Mount Rushmore self-evaluation, he quickly added that he doesn’t really want a cabinet position or any other government job. ‘‘I’d be just as happy to go back to Arkansas and open a bait shop on a lake,’’ he said.

Sad fact number one: The GOP has very weak candidates.

“A very large portion of the evangelical community is becoming more and more concerned about climate change because of our biblical obligation to be good stewards of our planet,’”

Sad thing is, he may be right.

Among the latte-Evangelicals.

‘A very large portion of the evangelical community is becoming more and more concerned about climate change because of our biblical obligation to be good stewards of our planet,’ McCain said. ‘That clearly is an issue that I’m in complete sync with the evangelical community on.’”

‘I’ll also try to make them remember that my social conservative record has been consistent and unchanging,’”

Sarcasm on: That is why he consistently voted to undercut the first and second amendments of the Constitution.

Sarcasm off.

Governor Huckabee, at this stage, in my opinion, is in the race to take Romney out of the way for McCain.

Yeah, just like Huckabee was working with Giuliani to eliminate the competition so Rudy could sweep to victory on Super Tuesday.

This one of the dumbest things El Rushbo has ever come up with. Huckabee and McCain may working together to set up a two-man race but there isn't any reason to believe that Huckabee can't beat McCain. I have no doubt both think they will beat the other.
